I've released G2D v1.8 Library for Hollywood. G2D is an include file for Hollywood MAL, it is a 2d-oriented library that adds a lot of commands, objects and methods to handle 2d graphic areas but the best feature it has (at least in my opinion) it's a full featured skinning system that also allow multi-layered skinning. This library has been heavily used with HGui to build gadgets and to make skinning possible.
The library is provided with all needed dependancies (all written in plain Hollywood) and some examples.
The library is FREE.

Commodore and Amiga at Bay Area Maker Faire 2017 |
| Events posted by RobertB on 26-Apr-2017 3:44:57 (1591 reads) |
Once again there will be a Classic Computers’ exhibit at Maker Faire Bay Area 2017! Once again my fellow exhibitors and I will be displaying classic personal computers for fairgoers to enjoy. To celebrate its 35th anniversary, I'll be bringing in a Commodore 64 with JiffyDOS (or RAMLink with JiffyDOS), 1541 or 1571 drive, and SD2IEC card drive. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, I’ll have an Amiga 2000 with a Blizzard 2060 50 MHz board, Amiga OS 3.1, 128 megs of Fast RAM, 2 megs of Chip RAM, SCSI CD-ROM drive, SCSI controller board with 8 megs of RAM, NewTek Video Toaster, Digital Processing Systems Personal TBC, A2065 Ethernet card, Digital Processing Systems Personal Animation Recorder (PAR), 4 gig SCSI main hard drive, and 500 meg SCSI hard drive for the PAR. Also because of attendee demand, I’m bringing back the Texas Instruments TI-99 4/A with Peripheral Expansion Box, various cards, and various cartridges, including the new SD card cartridge.

Rapid Cross-Platform GUI Development On All Islands
Airsoft Softwair is proud to present version 1.1 of one of the most popular Hollywood plugins: RapaGUI. RapaGUI is a cross-platform GUI toolkit that allows the creation of native (!) GUIs for AmigaOS (MUI), Windows, Linux (GTK), and Mac OS based systems! GUI layouts in RapaGUI are conveniently defined in XML files which are then converted into full-blown GUIs by RapaGUI on-the-fly. It just doesn't get any easier!
RapaGUI supports all the widgets you need to create modern GUI applications, including multi-column listviews, treeviews, tabbed page widgets, toolbars, status bars, text editor widgets, menu bars, HTML views and much more. The highlight of RapaGUI, however, is certainly its inbuilt Hollywood MOAI class. This class allows dynamic embedding of complete Hollywood displays into GUIs which can be used to combine Hollywood's powerful multimedia functionality with RapaGUI's GUI abilities into one powerful application.

eNewsReader r1 released for OS4 |
| software OS4 posted by ChrisH on 22-Apr-2017 12:58:29 (2107 reads) |
eNewsReader is a ground-breaking program for AmigaOS4, which allows you to easily keep track of tens (or even hundreds!) of news sources. You no-longer need to visit many websites every day or week, on the off-chance there might be something new. And by centralising all your news sources in one place, you will save masses of time, so it's great for people with busy lives. I created eNewsReader because of my frustration at how bad existing news readers were (such as Feedly & Digg Reader, never mind Facebook & Twitter themselves).

Amiga Future 126 preview are now available online |
| Announcement posted by AndreasM on 18-Apr-2017 8:33:04 (1700 reads) |
The full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future issue 126 (May/June 2017) are now available online.
Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:
Interview Daniel Müßener Amiga WHDLoad Maschine Teil 3 Rreview Workbench Explorer
Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.
Needless to say you'll find some FULL versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the cover CD.
