  News posted by AndreasM on 16-Mar-2023 12:53:50 (866 reads)
The download area of the Amiga Future was updated today. So, you can now find the following full versions online:

Evil Garden
Mission Andromeda
Ntimed
Pacific Islands

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/index

An overview of the recent uploads and changes to the download database of Amiga Future is also available from this link:

https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/dlext/latest

Of course we also want to be able to offer you many more full versions online, but to be able to achieve this, for you, we need your help, so ...

We are on the lookout for the Copyright holders for Amiga games and applications.
Do you know of any such person or can you actively help us in our search?
If so, then please contact us by email.

We are looking for extra support in order to revise the full versions download area of the Amiga Future webpage.
In particular, to check whether all those full versions formats (ADF, IPF, WHDLoad, AGA, CD releases, etc.) are complete.
In addition, a short description, in 2 sentences or less, about each of their system requirements and some screenshots need to be created.
If you want to help us, then please send us an email.

software Classic   AmiFox WWW Browser for 68k Released
  software Classic posted by dan.hutch on 5-Mar-2023 22:28:08 (3931 reads)
A new type of browser for Classic Amiga is ready for the Public! Alb42, McDope, and I are proud to present a totally new way to surf the web with an Amiga home computer.

AmiFox is not an ordinary web browser. Instead, it is a WWW (which stands for World Wide Web) browser with additional features. In this WWW browser, you can see almost every webpage as they should. Except for the video content on web pages. Gaming online is also very limited. But apart from these exceptions. AmiFox gives the WWW experience a totally new meaning for many Amiga users.

This very first release of AmiFox requires an Amiga with 68020+ and 8MB of RAM + Hard Drive, Ethernet connection, and MUI 3.8 installed. It will work on OCS, ECS, AGA, and RTG.

Amigaworld.net News   Amiga OS 3.2 Update 2 released
  Amigaworld.net News posted by mac6 on 4-Mar-2023 8:28:00 (1726 reads)
New Update 2 of AmigaOS 3.2 available for download

"Hyperion Entertainment CVBA is proud to provide the second free update of AmigaOS 3.2."

"The team of developers and testers have worked tirelessly ever since the release of AmigaOS 3.2.1 on fixing bugs and implementing a number of new features."

The highlights of the new features and fixes of AmigaOS 3.2.2 are as follows:

- TextEdit has seen several improvements to its extension interface, and has gained an "About" menu item;
- “Showconfig” now shows 68060 revision;
- “IconEdit” now notifies the user if someone else modifies the icon file that is being edited. -And pressing the help key brings up help. The whole color handling of colorful icons has been improved so icons can no longer degrade. Users may end up in a situation wherein it will look worse than on a perfect display, but it will not degrade the icon. As such the dreaded "downgrade" dialog doesn't happen anymore, but in some cases “IconEdit” will open on a separate screen;
- “Kickstart” can now boot with earlier Workbench and icon library versions if they are present on the boot volume. This allows for installation of the ROM whilst retaining the ability to boot any AmigaOS version from 3.1 to 3.9, before installation of AmigaOS 3.2 on a volume;
- The sketchboard.gadget has seen some speed improvements, that should be noticeable when using IconEdit;
- The listbrowser.gadget has had a complete overhaul, making the file much smaller, and a bit faster;
- The layout.gadget has had a complete overhaul;
- The window.class has had a complete overhaul;
- The RAM disk has had a complete overhaul so it is much less likely to cause issues;
- Improved “Locale “support
- Updated version of boards.library

"Hyperion wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the AmigaOS 3.x development team as well as the beta-testers for their ceaseless efforts."
