Amigaworld.net News   SkillGrid v1.1beta released!
Amigaworld.net News posted by saimo on 12-Mar-2022 13:47:45 (2299 reads)
Italy, March 12, 2022 — RETREAM is delighted to announce the release of SkillGrid v1.1beta! Like all the RETREAM games, SkillGrid can be downloaded freely, with the kind request of offering some help to the victims of Putin's attack to Ukraine.

This version enhances the game greatly, as documented by the huge changelog below. It has been held back for a long time by a problem of the bootable version for the Amiga CD³² (which is why it is still a beta). The owners of such machine can help. For details, please see the readme file in the package.

News   Amiga Future WANTED: Demoscene editor
News posted by AndreasM on 11-Mar-2022 12:36:24 (1386 reads)
For the Amiga Future Print Magazine we are looking for an editor for our demoscene corner.

- You must be very familiar with the demoscene.
- Nobody is perfect - but there shouldn't be too many spelling mistakes either.
- You really have to have the time for it. Don't underestimate that!
- It would be ideal and perfect if you could also create videos of the demos.
- And of course very important: have fun doing it.

Amigaworld.net News   Tank Mouse revival
Amigaworld.net News posted by Anonymous on 28-Feb-2022 19:57:42 (1753 reads)
Few days ago a campaign was launched on Kickstarter, for a remake of the iconic Amiga mouse. The distinctive mouse shape is well known to all Amiga users .

The new release of the "Tank Mouse" is a wireless device with a touch scroll, which however still works with Amiga computers, but can be used with modern PC's or Mac's as well. The mouse can connect via Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz.

The campaign already gathered a huge amount of backers, currently reaching to 60% of the budget, and 25 days still to go!

News   The Amiga Future magazine - Issue 155 preview is now available to view online
News posted by AndreasM on 21-Feb-2022 11:13:46 (1647 reads)
This is the full colour preview and excerpts of the Amiga Future magazine, issue 155 (March/April 2022) that can now be viewed online on the Amiga Future website.

Some of the interesting articles in this issue are:

Review Attack of the PETSCII Robots
Review Checkmate A1500
Special AmigaOS 3.2.1

Of course there's so MUCH more actually in the magazine.

Needless to say you often get other versions of software, often what was commercially available, as well as some of the latest try-outs or freely released software applications and games for, hopefully, all of the Amiga type Operating systems, so that's Amiga 'Classic', OS4, MorphOS, and AROS, including some PD software for these systems, all on the Reader's cover CD.

A detailed description of this issues contents and excerpts can be found at: https://www.amigafuture.de/app.php/kb/index?c=13

The Amiga Future magazine is available as an English and German printed magazine - every issue is available in FULL COLOUR - directly available from the magazine editorial office and also from various other Amiga dealers.

Caution!

We ask all Amiga Future subscribers to check whether we have the current postal address and email address of you.
The Amiga Future will be packed and shipped a few days before the release date. We therefore need a change of address as soon as possible.
Important: Requests for forwarding normally do not work with magazines!

We also ask you to check whether any subscription bills have already been paid. Unfortunately, many subscription bills are currently still unpaid.
