hardware Classic   A4000 4-Device IDE Interface From Amiga Kit
  hardware Classic posted by amigakit on 12-May-2019 10:36:16 (2011 reads)

A4000™ 4-Device IDE interface - new revision 3

Compatible with the Commodore Amiga 4000 Desktop or A4000T.

The standard Commodore Amiga 4000 is supplied with a single IDE connector as standard allowing only two IDE devices to be connected. This interface overcomes this factory limitation by providing two IDE connectors. Each IDE interface allows two devices so with this adapter a total of up to 4x IDE devices is possible.

Features 2x 40-pin IDE connectors (primary/secondary) and 1x 40-pin IDE connector to link to original Amiga motherboard IDE interface.

The 40-way (3.5") IDE cable to connect this adapter to the Amiga motherboard IDE connector can be optionally added below at various lengths.

To use the secondary port, third party software such as IDEFIX software package should be installed.

Events   One month until the June 8-9 Pacific Commodore Expo NW!
  Events posted by RobertB on 9-May-2019 3:56:41 (1994 reads)
That's right... time is counting down to the third annual Pacific Commodore Expo NW! PaCommEx is the only Commodore/Amiga show in the Pacific Northwest, and we welcome all our brothers/sisters from the USA and Canada. The show is held at the

Living Computers: Museum + Labs
2245 1st Ave.
Seattle, Washington 98134, USA
https://livingcomputers.org

The museum being open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., PaCommEx follows that schedule, and the show is situated on the first floor of the building. Pay your admission to the museum, come to our show, and visit all the other museum exhibits on the first and second floors, too.

There will be plenty of classic Commodores and Amigas to use, a couple of presentations to hear, and a hardware raffle in which to participate. More details can be found at

Truly,
Robert Bernardo

software OS4   VIM 8.1 with MUI GUI out now and for AmigaOS4!
  software OS4 posted by kas1e on 3-May-2019 17:57:28 (5451 reads)
What is it ? ...

Vim is a highly configurable text editor built to make creating and changing any kind of text very efficient. Vim is rock stable and is continuously being developed to become even better. Among its features are:

* persistent, multi-level undo tree
* extensive plugin system
* support for hundreds of programming languages and file formats
* powerful search and replace
* integrates with many tools

Please note that this is not a straight port of the upstream version. It includes a full MUI GUI with most of the bells and whistles found in Vim on any of the major platforms.

News   APC&TCP is on vacation
  News posted by AndreasM on 3-May-2019 13:20:22 (1385 reads)
From May 6th to 29th, APC & TCP and the Amiga Future are on vacation.

During this time we can not answer any emails.
In extremely urgent cases, we are conditionally reachable via WhatsApp and Messenger.

All emails and orders will of course be processed as soon as possible after our vacation.
But please have understanding that it may take some days.
Attention! Also download orders (eg Roadshow) must be unlocked by us by hand. Thus, the downloads are available only after our vacation.

If everything works out perfectly we have a little surprise for you after our holiday.

Miscellaneous News   Antstream Retro Game Streaming Service

Antstream Retro Gaming Reborn

I haven't had a deep dig on this, but there don't seem to be a huge amount of info on what they are using to emulate the various systems.

I assume they require a license to run an online emulator (for the Amiga ROM's)?
