Question - How do I enable DMA?

With OS 4.0 prerelease 2 you can enable DMA only on HD and only on a SIL CARD.

Source (Ikir)

From OS4:

idetool -x si680ide.device 0 70 -> Set device 0 to ATA133
idetool -x si680ide.device 1 69 -> Set device 1 to ATA100
idetool -u si680ide.device 0 -> See best pio mode, dma mode and current settings for device 0.

With prerelease update3 you can turn on DMA on optical devices, on all Sil (ATA133 and SATA) and on via (fixed XE and micro).
