@Deniil715

When i run quake, or protracker on 16bit screen, it looks distorted, i tried to do byteswapping in regards to endian-ness, but that doesn't help, does anyone know what has changed. Btw the same is for 8-bit screens.

Offtopic, Origin is shown as Anonymous, has he left the community or what has happened?

No. He is here. And quite often. Try a PM if there is an email issue.

@Ferry

Sorry. I chose the wrong term. I did not mean "broken". Non-responsive with
left-clicking is what I have experienced with IB2.3(demo). I refer to clicking
on some links at AW and getting no response.
That happens here without VNC. Can you test IBrowse 2.3(reg) on this without
using VNC?

Best Wishes,

Orgin's on vacation in 'real life,' and taking a break. His account still exists, but because of the way the back-end handles certain things, it shows an anonymous. In short, he's welcome back after his vacation, but let's not discuss this here, going further Off-Topic. He is in AW IRC fairly often if you'd like to ask him something, however.

This behaviour happens here only when using IB via VNC, not using it directly on the Amiga. All the links work well that way, AFAICS.

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

@Ferry

Thanks for the response. It is possible that this issue was addressed in your
registered release. Is so, that is great news!
I still would like to have a direct "link" to any non-functioning links at AW.
I think we could get people to test any such links with all the Amiga browsers.
It would be good to isolate any remaining problems regarding full access to all
of the AW site features with purely A1/AOS4 tools.
Wouldn't hurt to hear from members having any problems accessing the AW site
from other platforms either. After all, Voyager has an updated (MOS) version,
according to one of our members here. It would be nice if they had full access
to AW site features too.

Thanks again.

Best Wishes,

I haven't seen anything from hem for at least a month! I PM'ed him a few weeks ago, and e-mailed him a week ago but got no reply on either :(

I guess I'll have to live with slooooow 32-bit VNC until he comes back and I don't need VNC anymore...

@Deniil715

I havent got any query from you, neither by email nor by AW PM. And probably dont read more than 1% of whats posted in the fora threads here.

Now, a new version (2.0.2) of AmiVNC for OS4 has been uploaded to OS4Depot, which fixes 16 bit screenmodes.

@sg2

Cool. Colors are perfect now.

For people that wants to know the arguments:
p : Force password change and exit
s : Force another port than the default 5900
e : Force BigEndian flag
l : Limit netblocksize for initial screen update
r,g,b : Force Red / Green / Blue bitshifts
(play with these if you have color problems, legal values
for shifts are 0, 8, 16 and 24)
v : Force verbose mode to sdtout
a : Force VVA compatible (BGR233) pixel encoding
d : Force delay between screen scans

@sg2

This version works even with other VNC clients but only using -a.
Without, the screen has the wrong colors again and the screen is garbled.
So it's probably easy to fix.
