@Darth_X

FW97 does run under AOS4 I have installed and tested but it would be nice if it was re-released and updated as it is a nice package and not everybody has it.

Hope I don't get labelled a troll for making this suggestion!

/me ducks

More realistic: Get 1000 Amiga fans to send in $50 each, then promise them a "Papyrus Tee-shirt"!

/me ducks, too

@kgrach

The major gripe I've heard about Wordworth is that it is so slow! On my Amiga 4000T, it would sometines take 12 hours to render a special headline form (Spiral writing, circle, etc.), and also that the barest use of graphics would eat your memory into the ground. I use Wordworth, and I like it a lot, but I do acknowledge these faults. But I wonder what the speed and memory increase of the AmigaOne will do for it? As I understand, even emulated Amiga software os going to get a big speed boost.

Speaking about FinalWriter, what ever happened to the owner? I've heard some stories that he started some sort of pr0n business (on A.org IIRC).

@sicky

I dont care about politics.. If anyone from Titan is reading this, I will buy Papyrus if an OS4 port is done.

with games like "Bible Hangman"? What is that?

You ain't seen nothing yet. Somewhere out there is a game called "Ethnic Cleansing", an OpWolf-style shoot-'em-up where you have to kill the coloured guys without bumping off any of the whites (and I apologise if this offends anyone, but I'm not making it up). I certainly wouldn't want to see anything like that on the Amiga, unless perhaps it was a tongue-in-cheek PD game rather than a full-on racist romp (but not at all is better, I think)

Anyway, back to the matter in hand, I too would purchase Papyrus Office for OS4 if it performs basic WP functions (preferably better than Wordworth) and came in at a reasonable price.

Chris

Wordworth's performance issues on an older system like your Amiga 4000T are noted. Improvements in the newer AmigaOne hardware and potential optimizations could enhance Wordworth’s rendering speeds for complex graphics, although it may still require careful memory management even with these upgrades.
