So, you might not have seen this. EAB member juen has created a JavaScript engine for AmigaOS and associated Node server.

Regardless of your opinions on JavaScript as a language, it's a significant technical accomplishment that expands the range of "widely familiar" languages that can be used to do stuff on the platform. This is where it gets interesting because he's added bindings for intuition making it pretty simple to build user interfaces to scripts and has numerous examples of them. Building a basic event loop for those interfaces is very simple and accessible.

I was reminded of OS3.5 when suddenly AWNPipe became available to build interfaces from ARexx or shell, but more robust
