@Seiya

Did you entered beta test program?

No beta boards were sent (I think) - A-eon announced its "dead-line" as "the first quarter of 2011".

Of course not, he isn't interested in the slightest, he's just looking for some new "material" to spread his usual discrediting nonsense on some italian forums.

What happens if they break and the first quarter deadline?
Can anyone tell me have the people gave the money for their boards?

@Nibunnoichi

yes, to criticize your blind faith

however, i think many users and future customers would like to know when this X1000 will be in the shops.

@Nibunnoichi

We should not be malicious.
Obviously, beta test is late, A-EON is too silent
and we need to know how late X1000 will be.

Problem is that after Summer 2010 no other deadline was set
and no progress indicator after AmiWest was given.

Also, Hyperion is silent about OS 4.1 beta for X1000

Strange, since all beta versions of OS 4.x were publicly visible,
as well as progress etc. and no Amiga hardware ever was considered
to be alive, but yet so silent.

A lot of people put a high hopes and it was a good news when CPU was reveiled.

Sure, they are silent which, in many cases, poses no good. But... new Amiga hardware is available (from Acube) and I surely hope that A-eon delivers (why shouldn't they, there are easier ways to con people in paying money for flavoured air). The problem with setting deadlines is that people hit obstacles which prevent them from meeting them. They can publish about it which can lead to understanding reactions but could also cause flamewars declaring it vapour. For an example. I'm tied in a rather large engineering project. A lot of parties are involved. Our part is on schedule but a couple of other parties are not. So chances are quite big that we don't meet the deadline. Does that mean we're not delivering a product? Nope! We're just delivering a bit late but what we deliver is good and useable.

Considering budget available and people available to do the trick give them some credit. Most Amiga enthusiasts here on the net should be somewhere in their late 30s and should by now know how to practice some patience. Hyperion, A-Eon, some clarification would be welcome but better use your energy and time to get the thing on the road

Blind faith was pre-ordering a Phase 5 G4 card.

Future customers will know when it's in the shops.

If asking for such trivial stuff can be turned into "discrediting nonsense" I think it's not him who as a problem, it's Aeon.

I have no blind faith, on the other hand you don't have anything but unsupported FUD when you post in italian.

You are neither of the two, so why do you bother?

It's just that i know him and its posting history (on italian forums) and he has a track record of continuous and unsupported bashing FUD mixed with some delirious theories on everything Amiga (not just OS4 but Morphos too).

Of course this doesn't change the fact that X1000 is late, i was just questioning him.

Yes you're right, I should be. Back then I went out and bought a brand new Commodore amiga, from a high street retailer, and didn't get a badge engineered PC.

Also beer was cheaper, my eyesight was better, my knees worked, etc
