| @Pips NYT Will the NWAG IRC channel be focused mainly on local meetups in North West England, or will there also be general Amiga-related discussions for the wider community? |

Both I would like to think! Though most discussion on meetings etc seems to happen on Facebook. |

I used to use WookieChat, but it doesn't seem to want to connect to any servers anymore (at least on my setup anyway) so I am using AmIRC 3.5 from Aminet which is still pretty capable for something from 2000.
If anyone knows of any newer clients I am all ears |

| Never quite got into IRC world, i think it mainly due to you can get into some really good discussion, but then it gone, or its hard to pick up where you last left off. Plus its an extra distraction, sometimes I just want to game / code / work on my computer, suddenly you got a big irc chat going off on one side of your computer, my mind I think wonder too much for it. I always enjoyed Forums / Reddit / Comments slightly more. Its slower pace of discussion that you can come back to it, or take time with your view points.
i get IRC is more for quick chats or to just hang out in. maybe I should give them another go. I always forget to load them up.
