It's three weeks until the next MAE / Geeks and Gaming meet up in Royal Leamington Spa, UK - put the date in your diary!

Tickets will be available after Easter and, like the January event, will be free (tickets are used to monitor numbers).

An opportunity to meet up with other Amiga fans to share ideas, show off kit, demonstrate, play games, fix things, and chat.

- MAE is going to look a bit different

We're combining the MAE meeting with another event that we're involved with called Geeks & Gaming (G&G). They're very similar formats; MAE focuses on our beloved Amiga whereas G&G is multi-format and covers retro and modern gaming. We're also open to board games.

It might mean your Amiga sits next to an Atari ST, so maybe use a serial link cable and play cross-platform Stunt Car Racer ?

- Why the change?

Both MAE and G&G have a small number of core, regular attendees. By combining the two events, we hope to grow and be able to put both on more regularly. We also get free room hire (see 'What is Geeks & Gaming), so there's no charge for attending.

- What is Geeks & Gaming?

G&G started about 7 years ago, and run for the for the church which has the lease on the Westbury Centre where we meet. This means it's free of room hire costs and by combining both events the benefit of free room hire is shared.

G&G is how we discovered the shared love for the Amiga and retro computing, which led to MAE.

- Who can go?

We apply the same rules to G&G and MAE when run as separate events. They are open to trusted people, and under-18s must come with a responsible adult. These rules mean that we don't just have anyone walk in off the street.

- Is the change permanent?

We tried it in January with limited advertising and it went well, so doing it again.
