I think another positive thing is that when the PS3 is finally launched in Europe, there will be more games available to it.

Tough luck. Personally I'm waiting for Nintendo Wii. However, I almost never buy anything at the publish time because the prices tend to drop quickly and PS3 is quite expensive. And the console game prices today...

On the other hand, can't you order from Japan?

It's confirmed, AmigaOS 4 is coming for PS3, at least in europe
