You could say that. Recent Scorpion Engine games don't seem to recognise a fire button input! Pretty major! I wish I'd got a 3.1 Rom now. The OS itself is 3/4 of the way to OS3.9 but people argue that it is far neater and bug fixed under the hood and in this community that it is the main thing...tidy neat efficient code that works on a stock A500...that seems to be the dream of many! _________________ "Art challenges technology. Please read his post before mine. He talks about games not running because of 040 cpu.
Hence I said about WHDLoad Wrapper.
What you posted has no relavence in this thread. We are not talking about OS4 or PPC. Pistorm is 68k (at the moment). Your talking about a completley different program.
It was available on aminet, but seems to have gone now. _________________

Hey I've never really left, although don't get anywhere near as much time as I'd like to spend on my Amiga hobby... I occasionally get out to user groups and shows still, and when time allows pop onto IRC / Forums and even fire up the Amiga once in a while!
My web serving A1200 is still going just about, but I gave IntuitionBase.com up a while ago to allow it to survive and hopefully remain somewhat relevant. _________________ Regards Darren 'Ryu' Glenn ---------------------------- www.IntuitionBase.com - Your Guide to Amiga OS4.x and the AmigaOne www.Bambi-Amiga.co.uk - My A1200 webserver, running 24/7/365 |

| Question for the community.
After placing an order with Steve over at RetroPassion, and him saying he'll wang my order in the post last Wednesday, I've not heard a thing or got a reply back after checking if he managed to get it in the post.
Anyone had any issues ordering from there that I should know about? |

I ordered a PiStorm32 Lite from them. Like many Amiga online retailers, they're not the most communicative, but the device did eventually arrive all the way down here.

| Well, she's in and working.
I still need to dig out a second screen from somewhere for the native output, and on my current monitor, the Pi image is only showing on the top left of my screen and I've not heard a single sound yet (maybe it's all coming out the audio ports, I've not tried yet), but it's a start.
Skimmed a couple of the things I know used to test my Blizzard 1260/50 back in the day, and seeing Quake happily crunching frames and Cinema 4D wanging out a render at these speeds is quite impressive.
Loads more I want to do, but this is a great start. Last edited by FuZion on 09-Dec-2025 at 04:20 PM.

Excellent progress!
The sound still comes out of the native audio, not HDMI. (It's just one example of how the PiStorm still relies on the Amiga chipset, instead of taking over completely as some users promote 😄.)

| Cheers for confirming that @AndyFC.
I'll likely want to push the audio to better speakers anyway, so it's no major issue at the moment. |

I bought a HDMI audio injector for my PS32-Lite. Means wether Im using RGB or HDMI, audio is always there. _________________

| Not heard of such a thing before @F0L.
Is that an internal or external thing? |
