Ooh this is fun. I've just re-remembered/re-discovered that there are a new set of 3.2 Rom chips. Are these generally recommended for getting up to date? Any weird compatibility issues I need to be aware of with these?

You could say that. Recent Scorpion Engine games don't seem to recognise a fire button input! Pretty major! I wish I'd got a 3.1 Rom now. The OS itself is 3/4 of the way to OS3.9 but people argue that it is far neater and bug fixed under the hood and in this community that it is the main thing...tidy neat efficient code that works on a stock A500...that seems to be the dream of many!

@NutsAboutAmiga

Please read his post before mine.
He talks about games not running because of 040 cpu.

Hence I said about WHDLoad Wrapper.

What you posted has no relavence in this thread. We are not talking about OS4 or PPC.
Pistorm is 68k (at the moment). Your talking about a completley different program.

It was available on aminet, but seems to have gone now.

@Karlos

Hey I've never really left, although don't get anywhere near as much time as I'd like to spend on my Amiga hobby... I occasionally get out to user groups and shows still, and when time allows pop onto IRC / Forums and even fire up the Amiga once in a while!

My web serving A1200 is still going just about, but I gave IntuitionBase.com up a while ago to allow it to survive and hopefully remain somewhat relevant.
