For the first, they found that getting 90FPS was an evidence that their work was good enough.

The second answer deviates from the point: the CPU could have done something else instead of waiting due to the one access every 4 cycles limit.

Reality: the C2P could have been roughly 2 * 2 (for the first and second point which I've raised) = 4 times faster, greatly improving this operation.

Last but not least, the second point would have helped A LOT improving the CPU performance for ANY tasks.

"Only Amiga engineers made it possible"...

Adding more meat on the grill, C2P performance could have been 8 (EIGHT) times if Akiko would also have used the fast page mode introduced with AGA for fetching and storing 64-bit values instead of 32.
