Indeed, it's been sometime.
Also looking forward to hearing from the MorphOS team. There had been talking of porting to another architecture, would be interesting to know how likely or soon that would happen.

thanx for efforts...
just one question... why do you need expensive travelling for just question... and answer without any discussions going further? In my view in this case Skype or similar is enough too |

Same method as with Mike? I didn't hear mention of this in the latest utube vid.
You would plan to supply questions in advance, so that both Hyperion and MorphOS team could prepare responses to the very best of their ability?
This is important, due the greater number of persons involved who might need to be contacted for comments, which would then be returned to their spokesperson.

The Amiga community has always suffered from poor communication and a lot more can be accomplished by meeting face to face and sharing a beverage. Travel within Europe is inexpensive and convenient so it shouldn't be a concern. I'm sure we can always pitch in to assist if the cost becomes onerous.
#6 raises an excellent point - preparing questions for review in advance is critical.
Somewhat unrelated, but... has there been any consideration for meeting with the members of the Vampire team during this detente tour?

| @number6 Yes, exactly same method as Mike, I had always planned for all three. Questions a few days before and no surprises, then it is up to them with their responses.
@OlafS25 I fly there because I believe in the personal approach, it also shows respect that is why I go there and why they agreed maybe.

That would be my concern. I can't speak for either group, but I know that more email exchanges/skype/calls might have to be made to different members. With Mike I sense he had only his attorney to consult prior to answering, so I think a few days worked in that case.
All I suggest here is that due to different team members perhaps having to answer specific question and then reply back to the spokesperson, that you ask each group how much time they might need between supplying the questions and doing the interview. I think a few days might be tight for these 2 interviews.

Reducing the actual CO2 footprint shows respect, too. Respect for the planet! If you prefer physical meetings ther's still the train... It's worth a thought!_________________ My programs: via.bckrs.de MorphOS user since V0.4 (2001) |

I think considering we've reused and saved our obsolete computers from landfill for up to 34 years that buys us some leeway on feeling guilty about flying for the odd business related trips (and it is Stephen's job making his A3000 inspired case for 'future Amigas' so it is technically a business trip).
If you want to get all 'green agenda' on AmigaWorld maybe we should put a methane tax on all the noxious gases released by the Hyperion / Cloanto lawyers _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Considering the fact I rarely fly and I holiday in the UK and i drive a ten year old car and recycle like a legend, I am getting a bit bored with the save the planet comments.
You need to say you NEVER fly now or I will just LOL.

Actually my last flight was ten years ago. I use a bicycle for commuting and go by train for other distances. I refused jobs with high travel load because of that. Last time I visited the UK I cycled all the way from Westphalia to Rotterdam, took the ferry and cycled on to London... But thing is: I just want to make think about it. Going the distance by bicycle is not everyone's cup of tea of course and not the answer to all mobility cases. But reducing the ecological foot print is an urgent issue of course and we western ppl consume way too much (me too). And we should be aware of that!

This is not as obvious an issue as you make out! Guilting people into not making business trips and (if you follow the Extinction Rebellion) encouraging a high functioning Asperger's sufferer to give up her formative years to peddle an agenda (e.g. Greta Thunberg) is not the way forward or indeed a humane path IMHO.
Careful management of our resources is the way forward (please play SimCity 2000 and get a grasp of energy budgeting and resource planning before saying one more word about carbon footprints). Until China gives up building 'ghost towns' for investment opportunities only (no one lives in them), stops the worst offending Traditional Eastern Medicine practises requiring the hunting of endangered species and stops over overprescribing of antibiotics for all conditions including viral infections then any west-centric knee jerk reactions involving immediate carbon neutral policies and scare mongering from Green Party hippies about armageddon etc will lead to further human suffering and will prove ultimately ineffective in preventing any predicted anthropogenic global warming anyway!
Unless China starts governing responsibly to limit the wasteful, polluting and extinction promoting practises what the UK, EU or even the rest of the world put together does is frankly not going to make much difference. The aforementioned abuse of anti-biotics will no doubt lead to a future epidemic on the scale of the medieval black death, decimating human populations and stalling human progress for a generation. Presumably this is exactly the sort of outcome tree huggers have been waiting for to save precious Gaia Earth?
We in responsible western countries are not the problem, progress and job / wealth creation is not the problem and a flight to promote peaceful communication amongst the Amiga commity sure as hell 'aint the problem. Carry on cycling by all means but even bicycle schemes create waste if mismanaged (see below and yes they are all bikes from a failed bike-share initiative in you guessed it; China):
Simplistic thinking will make matters worse and it's about time the morons who during the Extinction Rebellion in London super-glued themselves to PUBLIC TRANSPORT (part of the solution for cutting down on pollution and petrol / diesel use) are called out on their half baked and jingoistic call to arms!

Our respect for the planet is utterly abysmal. Our respect for one another is worse than that.
As for Hyperion, what could they possibly say that could mean *anything* at this point? Last edited by Snorg on 13-May-2019 at 11:47 PM.
