ok. this is going to be an all weekend thing and this was just part1 from yesterday, but we can start with the slides, which may help non-english speakers in particular:
"OWNERSHIP Now owned by Trevor Dickinson Steven Solie appointed Team Lead Hyperion contract in place New logo!
STATUS Private repository, wiki, mailing List, etc. All kernels building SDK released for testing New DMA Engine API
STEERING COMMITTEE Committee Members: Trevor Dickinson Timothy De Groote Steven Solie High level decisions
DEV TEAM Thomas Frieden, Tony Wyatt, Olaf Barthel, Colin Wenzel, Jamie Krueger, Fredrik Wickstrom and Steven Solie Interested? Email steven at solie.ca
WHAT IS EXECSG? Executive Second Generation Original Exec designed by Carl Sassenrath Collection of components including: exec.library, expansion.library, utility.library, emulator.resource, AmigaBoot, Kicklayouts, DumpDebugBuffer, etc.
WHAT IS EXECSG? Memory management Task scheduling and messaging Interrupt management Tag lists and UTF-8 support Shared library and device management Zorro and PCI bus management 68K Emulation (non-JIT) Debugging interface And much more
WHAT IS EXECSG?"
[note:following is color coded in the slide] Under "AmigaOS" is the following:
Orange-Intuition-DOS-Workbench Red-Exec-Zorro/PCI-68kEmulation
Under "U-boot/OpenFirmware" is the following: Red-Amigaboot-Loader-X86Emulation
" ExecSG is an integrated part of AmigaOS and also the underlying firmware Orange = Hyperion Red = ExecSG"
Please report any additions/corrections as to what I've posted here. The small bit -not- in quotes is my note concerning the color coding. All else within quotes is from the slides.
There is explanation here of legalities, contracts, etc. that should explain why this took so long to state to the public in the plain english that the public desired to hear.

I suppose since many of the posts on AW concern "why didn't you just come out and say what's going on", I should briefly mention:
The video referenced above makes mention of issues going back almost 20 years. I don't intend to rehash all this, but it culminated here:
which was about people protecting their IP during the lawsuit of 2007-2009
In short, nothing had been straightened out to everyone's satisfaction until extremely recently, which is also detailed in the video.
Now that this has been accomplished through contract, the story could be told.

| @RobertB Thanks to Robert for all your effort in recording these things!
@all I'm planning an ExecSG Q&A on Sunday. If you have any questions, that would be a good time to ask live at the show. Bill Borsari will be posting details soon I'm sure.

Part 2 of day 1 of the AmiWest Devcon 2019:
Again, only of use to non english speakers.
There is a rather lengthy discussion of the complete system, which has been a concern expressed here for some time. As everyone knows, resources are divided and both users and developers have been hampered by the "get this here" "download this part there" syndrome that developed over time. All I will say here is that the team is well aware and intends to address/fix this for everyone's sake.
There are a couple of new slides in Part 2.
First one is a list of all the currently supported hardware platforms. It is extensive running from current back to CSPPC and BPPC.
In short, the team is discussing how to make their task easier given this extensive list and the necessity to have to test so many things on all the possible targets. This would include more effeciency in making fixes, processing bug reports, and obviously delivery of said fixes to the customer.
One option being considered is virtual hardware targets. The team is aware of the popularity of emulation and retro and will consider these and other factors before making any decisions on how to simplify the complete hardware list. During this discussion a few positive things about virtual hardware are mentioned, such as removing the restrictions on the amount of ram, which is something you can do with virtual as opposed to "real" hardware.
The next slide is about "product backlog". This basically concerns everything that is required for a product. The model mentioned on the slide is scrum.org, if you want to read about the basics. There is a lot to this topic, a great deal of which concerns proper communications to know who is responsible for what, basically an efficient system to follow in order to deliver product.
The last slide is "ROADMAP".
"-Current focus is on the following areas: -A1222 load-time emulation (SPE routines) -Better logging system -Multi-core support -High priority bug fixes"
Keep in mind the audience for both parts have been developers. I expect many of the same topics will be brought up for the general public on Saturday/Sunday as well.
@ssolie
As always, please notify me re:changes/corrections you might wish made to the above

Thank you for doing the recording of this. Not always easy to hear, but good enough to get the general idea that things are on track finally for OS4.x.

*bump* and...
Although Friday night a/v from AmiWest was primarily for testing, it turns out several unexpected presentations were given during the course of the test period.
So, if you've caught up with viewing all of Robert's fine work linked in this thread: http://amiwest.net/broadcast/index.html
Click Friday.
Doug Compton's presentation at about 22:45.
Special guest presentation at about 1:52:00
Enjoy.
