EditPad is now added to AmiBench. By popular demand users requested a text editor to complement the other tools added such as AmiBrowser, AmiPDF and Unarchiver.
Editpad is a recreation of the original with enhanced features added. Thanks to our developer Javier for his great work!
Expect a free download of the latest AmiBench soon along with many other updates for your A600 GS and the A1200 NG.
Out of interest are the new versions of UnArchiver and Editpad going to be available for 68k vintage Amiga systems? Whatever the answer to this, the 'Alt Amiga OS' section that kolla suggested is clearly a more appropriate place (avoids confusion for those who don't fully understand what Amibench is) to post A600GS & A1200NG related info. The exception to this I guess would be if something for AmiBench is also released for vintage Amigas at exactly the same time.

Development of EditPad text editor is almost completed. Find & Replace and Goto Line functions added. This will be released as part of a larger system update coming very soon for your A600 GS and the A1200 NG. Our team is beta testing it at the moment.
@Tpod
We have plans to release SystemV46 for Classic Amiga in future. A bit more development work will need to be done first.
The popularity of an editor is connected to its features:
Can it used as convenient IDE for GNU-C (or other languages) ? Has it some interesting Search&Replace options? Can it read/convert different Character representation and font sets? Does it support BOM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte_order_mark Can it convert Tabs into Spaces (configurable amount of spaces)? Can I copy and paste rectangular text parts?
---
No, I don't think a new editor will have all the features I wanted, but someone who as programming a new editor should at least think about it and generate a list of supported features. ...

Interesting, so presumably the SystemV46 for Classic will also be AROS based (i.e. a custom AROS OS, as it is now for ARM (A1200NG/A600GS))? Any idea what the minimum system requirements will be?
