AmiPDF-NG is a new modern PDF reader for AmiBench on the A600 GS and the A1200 NG.

This powerful PDF reader utility renders documents accurately and rapidly. It is based on the PDFium engine.

It will be available to download in the next free system update.

We hope that this modern PDF tool, along with AmiBrowser and UnArchiver released in 2025 will push AmiBench towards being a useful desktop for daily computing tasks.

It seems as if you take your project serious, not just selling another retro game console but deliver a useful cheap Amiga like hardware.

Maybe you can offer a case and keyboard for the 'wedge case lovers' it can become the difference between success or failure.

I partly agree, I mean I'm waiting for my A1200.net case and when I get that I will decide whether to go A1200NG route or not, but if lets just say Amigakit made the A2400NG, a more powerful version in a case similar design of the Amiga Fantasy case https://amigang.com/prototype-concept-amiga/ with a DVD rom built in and room for a disk drive on the oppose side, I would be all over that. But I know cost of moulding a case, keyboards and other stuff is not cheap and likely would double the price if not more.

Well, DVD and Disks are somehow a thing of the past, a (micro) SDCard might be better and cheaper.

How is this “Classic Amiga Software�?

This software doesn’t run on any “classic� Amiga.

its emulation platform.. but not a classic correct, its not AmigaOS4/PPC, its not Classic... its in between or its supposed to be in-between.

business idea Enhancer can be sold to 68K users, and PowerPC users.

If you take the Amiga serious you should do more than just install some old games, it should be possible to work with it and it should get applications that where impossible or not available with old Amigas.

Fine, but all this “NG/GS� stuff sorts under “AROS Software� and “Emulation�, not under “Classic Amiga Software� as little to nothing of it runs on actual Classic Amiga.

Hmmm do the NG not run APDF or RNOpdf ? classic own already PDF Reader, a PDF editor would be something

till now (for me!) only the youtube player is really something im jealous about. the ppaint and octamed is running 68k but (for me) i see no big upgrade. there are better 68k painter + enough tracker software.

i guess for a person that start complete new or comeback to amiga, the all-in-one solution amikit is a great way to get into amiga. It is realative cheap, against ebay OG Hardware, have games and tools installed for nostalgic feelings. People can decide themself if they go more into Amiga with OG Hardware or the Amikit just getting Dust in a corner and no need to steal Hardware from real users that really need & use it.

So a Win Win Situation ... i guess
