I can confirm what you say, don't know if this has been already mentioned in another thread. Actually, it's a bit of a mess:

- The generic MPlayer version inside AMC is a new version from this year, and it is the latest version available for OS4. It has been only released together with AMC (on http://a-mc.biz/):

Summer version: "MPlayer SVN-r29532-4.2.3 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team"
AMC version: "MPlayer AMC Version (C) 2000-2010 MPlayer Team"

- On the other side, the Altivec version seems to be the same in both Summer and AMC archives, copyright and filesize wise:

"MPlayer SVN-r29532-4.2.3 (C) 2000-2009 MPlayer Team"
Afx probably didn't have time to compile a new Altivec version and included the old one.

Ok so i was right, i think it is the same version you have in form of source code, aniway i get another crash using this AMC version while streaming an italian TV
