The offer of 4.2 was made by Hyperion Entertainment who were partners of the original A-EON Technology CVBA company. You should contact them and ask where OS 4.2 is ?

A-EON Technology Ltd produced the later X5000, A1222+ and are nothing to do with Hyperion or the CVBA company. Due to the problems and delays with OS4 development, A-EON Technology Ltd was forced to create the Enhancer Software to be able to release the X5000/A1222+.

AmigaKit Ltd has nothing to do with any of the above.

whatever you think you bought and paid for, look in the documents. I am pretty sure that it was there in a way, that you would not have a chance to get money back, And your X1000 worked so you will never get all money back, even without 4.2-

Its not x1000 I am refunding just OS 4.2 part.

I ve tried refunding full x1000 but I already had it for year
and guarantee was crazy low, so AmigaKit was right there. Here is not.

Beta OS was delivered, final OS 4.2 never done.

The key is on when. You got AmigaOS 4.1 update 5 and a license. Nowadays people are owners less and less. It's licenses.

When did you buy X1000? What bells and whistles do you need off 4.2 that 4.1 update 5 doesn't provide? How does it compares with the overall HW+SW combo you've bought?

In nutshell, full OS that supports HW was never made.

Check OS 4.2 feature list was on AmiWest

So far I bought
AmigaOS 4.1 FE
Enhancer
2D Drivers

All from AmigaKit and its not up to OS 4.2 level

So I claim damages too on court.

Even If I added Enhancer 2 and most recent drivers it would not be
since it promised SMP, OpenGL, 3D on existing card etc.

And OS 4.1 version 5 on x1000 was beta, so full OS was never provided.


Among the highlights of his presentation were the following:

* official confirmation of cancellation of the netbook project
* walk-through of new AmigaOS kernel, X-Kernel, which supports multiple cores
* integration of FUSE layer into OS and support for NTFS coming soon
* an update on Gallium3D progress
* announcement of Update 7 ISO coming soon
* announcement of new SDK with additional SDK update coming shortly

And lastly we've learned that AmigaOS 4.2 will ship as soon as the new Gallium3D layer is complete and stable. A tremendous amount of work has been done 'behind the scenes' to make the new kernel and 3D graphics stack progress in face of having to support new hardware platforms as well as personal health problems of key development team members. Nonetheless the light at the end of the tunnel is being seen at long last.

I see, thanks for clarifying. Why some keep doing business with Hyperion I have no idea. They develop an OS on shady grounds, the developers aren't even paid. Who are people paying? An entity who declared themselves to be the owner of the OS?
We have a saying in Portuguese "ladrão que rouba ladrão tem 100 anos de perdão*" given that piracy was the downfall of Amiga perhaps there's a masterful sense of irony, of releasing a product which when pirated, makes no harm to their creators. Only Amiga...

3. The PCC function project work in progress, (they do not have a AmigaOS license, yet)

Thanks for breaking it down, I cant find better OS 4.2 feat list because they did remove
a lot.

Point is I paid for OS 4.2 and every x1000 user did.
Instead I had to pay again for FE, Enhancer drivers that did not match OS 4.2

You understand what is refund and that this is eligible.

Even AmigaKIt does not dispute this above, as Amigans do (that is thief support)
they just shift blame.

But by laws anywhere whom I paid owns me refund. They can chase Trevor and brothers.

Best I can do is e.g. paying for A600GS less for OS 4.2 paid license, but AmigaKit doesnt offer even that.

Its interesting to note AmigaKit deleted support tickets and my purchase history (or I did?)
anyway, its not present at my acount at .com website and used to be on co.uk

It was cancelled because by the time they got to making a deal with the manufacturer it would have cost about three and a half times more than they initially sold for.

I believe that the original company(A-eon belgium) that made the X1000 is now defunct, that is, no longer alive. And you're probably way too late to claim any damages, since it's been 10 years. Also, I believe you've sold your X1000 lomng time ago?
