@Rob

I read something about hardware acceleration, too.
Unfortunately, fine tuning a game of this magnitude for the Amiga doesn't seem a plausible option anytime soon. :(

The time it takes to start a game (particularly if it's not the first you play in that session), save and quit is extremely annoying. I can't see why it takes so long.
There should be plenty of memory leaks in the code, too, since it gets slower and slower.

The game is still awesome, but it could be so much more enjoyable...

@BrandonLee

a problem could depend from some SDL functions like SDL_Delay and yes, we don't have hardware surfaces and if i try to enable it the game crash. so we have to wait Richard for the next shared version of SDL. and if you have money to donate, please donate to him... ;)

@afxgroup

The latest version works a lot better...better graphics...especially liked all the intro graphics for the campaign. Great job!
I'll try to capture any debug downloads with GR if I get them using this new version.

Thanks for an excellent game!

Scott

a problem could depend from some SDL functions like SDL_Delay

What's wrong with the SDL_Delay implementation?

and yes, we don't have hardware surfaces

SDL for OS 4.0 supports hardware surfaces in full-screen mode.

we have to wait Richard for the next shared version of SDL

A shared-library implementation is pretty much done. I just need to dot some 'i's and cross some 't's to get it to a releasable state. I've been short on time lately...

Which version are you using?

This hasn't been a problem for a while. There was one OS4 SDK release that shipped with a build of SDL with a broken SDL_Delay() implementation, but the latest SDK and moreover the lastest version of SDL from http://www.rcdrummond.net/sdl/ (which is the one you should be using) are not affected by this problem.

If you have a problem to report, please be a little more specific.

Cheers,
Rich

@afxgroup

Wasn't there once a problem with Altivec optimization? I thought it has been fixed...

Also some SDL games are evil because they access surface internals without locking them.

@BrandonLee

look at the output and eventually try in that way. However if you found a bug please report it on the official Wesnoth forum since i have no great time to play it and test the bugs..

Thank you, Brandon Lee. I'll check out your suggestion for input handling first before reporting any issues online. Hopefully that helps with my concerns!
