I really don't think that the release of this update indicates anything at all regarding the court case. It's simply business as usual for Hyperion. |
In that case the classic PPC version should be shipping any day now.

No Tkinter I'm afraid. That would have been too much work.
I do plan to come up with some Reaction bindings later, though._________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail |

The readme does offer some explanation of OS4 ownership and licensing.

This could maybe be part of their strategy (court stuff)...
But I have to admit, it's great to see an update!. Cheers Hyperion!
I can't wait to see a x86 port of AmigaOS4. Then we have freedom once again.

| @hyperion.
Good work.
@twins
I hope for a complete OGL 2.0 implementation, as well as a graphic composition engine for OS4.
Ciao

Sigh... there's no strategy involved with that, the USB stack has been known as "Sirion" since day one, it's just never been "announced" or whatever.
Did you know that the TCP stack is called "RoadShow" ? I wonder what sinister plot is behind THAT name..._________________ Thomas, the kernel guy

IBrowse appears to behave properly now under the latest update - I haven't got it to crash at all after updating!

Very nice installed and working. Noticed a new directory in workbench SObjs. What are Sobjs? Is there a manual or guide for python on amiga? Great to have Final writer back again.

SObjs is for Shared Objects. They're dynamically linked/loaded modules. Under UNIX-Like OSes they are used as shared libraries. The intent is to make porting such libraries easier. For example, Python is implemented as such a shared object, so that e.g. Blender can link against it without the binary getting bigger. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here.
