No it isn't. It is rather similar (which is why it looks so nice), but anyone who actually uses AmigaOS4 should spot the differences immediately (hint: it's more flat, and the colours are subtly different).

Oh, come on. I'm sure you can spot the difference

PS. Ok, look at the borders, arrows and the window title bar (its raised)... Everything is "less 3D".

@djnick:
Sinisrus work is not enough professional from your opinion, but his professionalism (in the way he prepared these themes and the themes themselves ) is enough for you to use his work at a base for you own work ... Hum ... Strange way of thinking I though!
However, currently, you haven't proven you are able to do better ... and apparently you are more in *issues* and *problems* than Sinirus was ... beg my perdon ... but ... who is the more professional in this case ?

Samo79:
AW is not the only Amiga forum existing, we have french forums where we (french Amiga developers) discuss our respectives works and Sinisrus is a member of French forums. So we discuss sometimes of how our products are received/appreciated by users and how people show us their thanks and feedback ...
(in the objective to improve our products and our approach)

Wawa :
Concerning your statement about djnick : +1

in my opinion, Sinisrus HAVE proven his value ... now, I simply hope djnick will prove his value ...

I'm curious about all this "not 100% professional looking" talk...

Just what exactly is a "100% Professional looking theme" and who decides to give it such a status ???

Seems to me there are opinions and opinions here but nothing that can lay claim to accurately describing any of these "themes" as being "100% professional"...

All I see is some (and this is just my opinion) eye candy that anyone with an Amiga could do (if they actually tried) and if you like that sort of thing but tagging eye candy with the label "Professional" seems a wee bit over the top to me...

professional.. pfhh.. this word has been misused so much by just anyone who cant find any better argument to make himself sound important.. there are even professional tooth brushes, according to advertisements, so far i know. i wonder, who are those people professionaly cleaning their teeth, though. anyway, who does expect any professionalism in conjunction with what is considered "amiga" today?

@wawa

The thing about art is that some might like one picture some do not, there are pictures that I do not give rats ass about.

Lots of colors but no form or shape, does not tell you anything, looks unpersonal, yet people are willing pay a lot for it then put it a office some where or in art gallery some where.

And then you have less known art, but does not cust huge amount

this kind the point of theme, is give people options, instead of mass produced things that is designed so that every one likes it.

Oooh... touch of the wind there... little bit of indigestion maybe. !!!

Try some of these... they may help... or maybe not...

On the other hand you might be choking on something... in which case try the Heimlich Manoeuvre with a friend (if you have a friend that is)...

WARNING: I aint a doctor and that makes it a wee bit hard for me to diagnose what "Uffffff" might actually be so carry out the above at your own risk...

whoah, a nice twombly you have posted there or where you have that from? however my post was exactly about that there is no reason to claim "professionality". i am living of art and wouldnt want to praise myself as a "professional artist" even if de facto i am one, at least as far as tax office is concerned..

@wawa

Is not the difference where you can make living of your art or not, if art is your job then its professional, and if not your not professional.

If you look at it like that then I suppose a professional crook/ thief or a prostitute, while being professional in the strictest terms of the word doesn't exactly make them something desirable or to boast about...

can you tell me what your point is? since many "professional" artists are just that, designers working for advertising. others are stars none would ever question if it was discovered they have not attended an university or couldnt properly write. many on display in museums couldnt make their living from it or at least died in poverty (which is common knowledge), however sometimes its just drives their mythos. you know, i have an master degree in arts, even though it doesnt mean anything and many collegues refused it becuase thats just a stupid paper, so what does that all tell us about being "professional"?

@Franko

Ok I will try to explain how do I see "professional". I will try to be as short as possble [as I really don`t have much free time for long letters]:

Well, take a look for example this image:

http://amitheme.amiga-ng.org/images/metalgreencore.jpg

And here is what I do see that needs polishing:

- Top left corner - AmigaOS4 - OS4 is written in Black - Black is too dark for green background. Light color for OS 4 must be used to be more visible in current pallette [green and gray]

- Icon texts are black with white outline. It should be white text with black outline - will be more visible.

- When window is not selected - text in window is too light gray - again not visible. It should be more visible [more darker]

- Gray bubble in white background [window pattern] on each opened window is too visible - so you can`t easily see what is below.

- Arrows on selected windows looks a bit too dark

- On opened File lister - displayed [listed] file names are in blue. I think it would be better if gray text [or green text] colors is used.

Like I said - it is a nice start but needs more polishing.

And now take a look at another theme set, but those looks [my opinion] more professional and have less color errors:

http://korni.ovh.org/morphos-skins/?i=TSteel.png

from MOS skins web site:

http://korni.ovh.org/morphos-skins/

I hope I explained how I see good color set and smooth graphics that are pleased to an eye.

iOS for example looks very professional. Android [4.1] also looks nice. AmigaOS [V1.3] looked excellent and profi - all colors are well, style is the same...:

http://scacom.bplaced.net/Collection/500/amiga132.png

etc...
