| @Tuxedo All my picture drawers contain jpeg images and RAW camera files. The newly released version of Loview fails when I load an image. The error is:
Table field 2 was not initialized. File: LoView.hws (current line: 11126 - In function: p_caricaimmagine)
The previous version of LoView did not fail with RAW files in the same directory as jpeg images. I've reverted to the old version until the problem is fixed. _________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE |

Hi, I want just to inform the LoView users that since actually the LoView 2.80 uses the internal Hollywood jpeg loader that was about 10% faster than Os4.1 datatype it wont benefit from new AltiVec WarpJPEG datatype... In my current internal beta it now loads by default from Datatypes and I managed a 20/25% faster loading times... So stay tuned for the new bugfixing and modified LoView version that will be released probably in 2 weeks...no that was only a coincidence...who have sayd o no... " only two more weeks?"

So the new LoView will include the new Altivec WarpJPEG datatype? No need to install it ourselves? |

If you are referring to the WarpDT JPEG datatype (WarpJPEGdt), it's not a public domain or opensource datatype. You must register it. Tuxedo is wise not to include it.

I found 3 bugs, hope you can fix it in the next version 1.When i want change the background color in slideshow, a requester appears with following information: Can`t open reqtools.library LoView.hws(Line 6840-function:ColorRequest)
2.Music playing in slideshow stutters with high image resolutions Music play well with 1920x1080 images but not with 6000x4000 images. After a few seconds the music begins to stutter.
3. Like other reports already, i get this requester with some pics:
Error: Table field 2 was not initialized! File: LoView.hws (current line: 11126 - In function: p_caricaimmagine)

Hi!
1 - That's weird...seems that you have ReqTools.libray and the l.main file installed but for some reason it dont works...can you plz try to installe them again from os4depot? Here works perfectly...
2 - That seems to me that I havent control over that...I'm investigating over that and than report the problme here...
3 - that issue was already solved.
Thank you for feedback!

Ok, a new LoView version will come in next few days...just the time to see if theres a way to solve the big pictures audio distortion problem... Menatime I've:
- fixed all the bugs signaled. - added 3 new prefs to choose if AutoSave prefs, use internal or external JPEG loader since now that we have AltiVec WarpJPEG DataTypes images was REALLY loaded fastly(about 20/30%) and added an Opus5 compatibility option to deactivate the AppWindow under Opus5 wb replacement...
I also plan to release the MOS and AROS version that time before end of june(or also much earlyer if no big problems was found)...
Only one question...dunno if was usefull to compile and OS3.x version...anyone here uses it? Maybe under AmiKit was usefull dunno...or maybe also for WarpOS users...
Thank you! _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY. |

Just found a couple of little bugs, one in LoViewThumb: in case you doesn't open the LoViewThumb directly from LoView (but standalone) the thumber will show you an image logo as a background .. this is normal and no problem of course
However if you resize the window then the logo disappear, while this doesn't happen with LoView instead it happen with the thumber so quite certainly here we have a bug !
Second minor problem, in case you doesn't have any image loaded you should avoid the activation of the "Tools/ReSize..." menu ... otherwise you will be able to set a new resize for an not existent image !
Here the crash:
Division by zero! File: LoView.hws (current line: 3396 - In function: p_picresize)
Hope you can fix them before the new release Last edited by samo79 on 23-May-2015 at 12:31 AM.

Yep it was present in 2.80 and we reported this, however maybe too late for the final version. Thanks for the refresh fix in thumb, perhaps in a future version you may ghost directly the "unclickable" options rathen then leave them inactive but "clickable"_________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

ok guys I resume that thread to ask anyone if knows any bug regarding LoView since I've corrected a little bug while pressing right mouse button that can select second button function in windowed mode(since the menu override the right mouse pression over the button itself but now thew menu was disabled while the mouse pointer was over the ToolBar), and I'm also adding a littel nice feature to LoViewThumb that will send a Ringhio notification when the thumb load was completed...
If any one wrote nothing I'll release the bugfixed version until end of the year... _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY. |
