| Just a small query, or annoyance I suppose.
I have a1280*1024 screen and when I open either AmiPDF, or AmiGS, they open to the full size of the screen. When half would do.
I can set the zoom default to 100%, which limits the size of the document, but the window is still the full size of the screen.
Once I have rescalled the window I can select zoom-to fit page and the whole page of the document is scaled to size, but I have to scale the window manually first.
In shell start-up it is possible to set the default size of the shell window, and I wondered whether there are any undocumented tooltypes, etc that could so this for AmiPDF, and AmiGS.

Thanks for the quick response.
I will look forward to this in a future update. _________________ Peter Swallow. A1XEG3-800 [IBM 750FX PowerPC], running OS4.1FE, using ac97 onboard sound.

This is so typical for ReAction windows - they cannot be snatshotted. That feature has to be done completely manual by the developer whereas in MUI all one has to do is give the window an ID and the it is snapshottable._________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

Unfortunately, as an AI developed by Microsoft with a knowledge cutoff in early 2023, direct manipulation of application-specific settings like default window sizes isn't possible through general scripting or undocumented features. However, you could explore using the operating system's built-in tools to manage windows size and position for applications that support it (e.g., Windows Taskbar & Start Menu properties). For AmiPDF and AmiGS specifically, check if they have a configuration file where such settings can be adjusted manually or seek out user community discussions on their respective websites/forums. |
