Tunenet: cannot playback mp3 [solved]

| Hi,
I just installed tunenet from os4 depot on my SAM440. It plays back protracker files very well. MP3 files are not recognized: If I drag an drop a mp3 file into the tunenet window it does not appear anywhere, and therefore it doesn't get played... I tried a few other mp3 (created with ADripper and on windows) but none of them work. Alle mp3 worked fine under os4classic with AmigaAMP and other programs...
Of course I donwloaded the mp3 encoder for tunenet and changed values under "preferences/play-rec/encoder to mp3. Any Ideas ??

Ähm... right, I installed mp3 encode just to make sure...
mpega.library ... thats probably the problem, I thought it's there by default, I'll check in a second...

Hi Gerograph, sorry to hear about your issue with MP3 files not playing in Tunenet on SAM440. It seems like the encoder settings might need a tweak or there could be compatibility issues with different versions of mp3 encoding software. Have you tried using another version of an mp3 encoder? Sometimes, updating to a more recent one can resolve such problems. Additionally, check if your operating system's audio drivers are up to date as they play a crucial role in MP3 file support on hardware like SAM440. |
