Quote: Oh so ZUNE will reach 100% MUI 3.8 compatibility? Can some bounties help?
I would hope so, the thing with mui is all those extra libs who exist outside of MUI Quote: Will ZUNE code be shared with x64, PPC32 and m68k versions?
They are already, Zune is use in all AROS builds already

Can I donate to make that faster?
I have two probs with AROS
- Gunnar use it without backporting to community, should be warned - There are no native drivers for modern x64 so I have to Linux host it, plus MUI apps dont work well. Can MUI4 illegal Hyperion be backported, or OS3 port be used? _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism. Learn it harder way! Me too, with silver badge :D Yet one can get banned for disliking CUSA and Hype
My mail to @deadwood
I believe you do know me as vox :D Anyway, I would pay to have MINT LMDE Debian based stripped down with MATE, ffox, libre and all your AROS stuff and AROS hosted. I would pay for ISO 10 to 20 eur via pay pal --------------- Last edited by vox on 17-Nov-2024 at 03:19 PM.

Regarding Apollo the text is not correct. The developer behind Apolloos (Thor) publishes changes
Regarding MUI I do not understand what the text means. MUI4 is not property of Hyperion
And if it is about AxRuntime from Deadwood people seem not to understand the idea
The base would be a complete linux system. On top of it would run a amiga desktop. but as full linux desktop no different to KDE, GNOME or whatever. On this the apps would run, either as a real linux app or in a kind of VM. First would be linux app with zune GUI, example is mplayer on the axruntime webpage with zune GUI and below linux code. As alternative Aros apps can run in a VM so no need to port. |

So ApolloOS advancements are part of AROS x64? OK, my bad, I apologize.
There is MUI5 which is fakenamed backport of MUI4 for OS4 and OS3 https://github.com/amiga-mui
Yes that kind of distro is what I want. We agree on this.

ApolloOS should be a fork of AROS 68k. Where AROS had chosen to go for a more abragent system, and this way cater to multiple systems, PPC, arm, x86, 68k, ApolloOS picked the 68k and chose to optimize it further for their hardware. There's solutions on AROS that are fantastic for multiple GHz machines, but not that much for a machine like vampire, and as such were discarded. Still, I don't understand why you mix aros x86 with Apollo OS _________________ Indigo 3D Lounge, my second home. The Illusion of Choice | Am*ga |

Because some advancements such as included sw can be backported to x64 Not ASM and MMX optimisations, but if you have checked ApolloOS its quite a nice distro I know of no x64 match.
This is v9 from 2020 https://youtu.be/6KU33AJLIjI
Plain m68k or x64 AROS I have seen are barebone, like OS 3.0 or worse

True AROS m68k ON AMIGA WITH Chipset can run a lot WB apps and games. However, integration of JanusUAE (like RunInUAE) can do similar effect on x64
I ve found thread on MUI for AROS https://github.com/amiga-mui/muidev/issues/258
Problem is MorphOS team claims they have all rights to MUI4 and MUI5 is developed from thin air since MUI5 doesnt exist.
CUrrent copyright is Originally developed by Stefan Stuntz, it is now maintained by Thore Böckelmann and Jens Maus. _________________ OS 3.x AROS and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionalism.
