I cant sell my uA1... tried to. Apart from the death threat emails (Pillocks who sent me those, thanks TWATS) Ive been persuaded to keep it on grounds that things can only get better.

On IRC DescreetFX told me to rent it.

So would anyone like a uA1 at £15 a month?

@Bobsonsirjonny

How about lending it to a developer that can create some amazing stuff? If everything else fails.

Chill out dood !

You've waited so long, don't give up now !

It's only a computer, get on with the rest of your life while waiting for all this to happen If you sell / rent etc now, you will be kicking yourself when it all comes together, a browser will happen, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but soon, and if you sell you'll regret it for the rest of your life [/movie quoting mode off ]

Really? Geez. I know people that might be up for it. Or maybe I think I do. Weird.

@Bobsonsirjonny

Why not ask Peter Werno info@jamiga.org ?

I know that he is in need of one, so he can widen the JAmiga range to OS4 from
the near beginning!
Look here: JAmiga.org

@Bobsonsirjonny

If I had time to actually do some amiga development I'd consider renting it.

@Bobsonsirjonny

I contacted Titan a while ago who said that they'd port Papyrus to OS4 if they had the hardware - IMHO it'd be a great stop-gap till OpenOffice is done. Dunno what they'd think about renting, but I can forward on the email if you want?

Pfft, I borrowed my A1 and it went fine. Today I wouldn't let go of it though. Donations welcome.

@Bobson

In that case I`ll offer 50 quid a month for a year hire-purchase; that`s a good deal.

Ok, so *I* would be willing to pay the rental fee to see it lent to Peter @ Jamiga.org...obviously it would be nice for a free rental , but I'd be willing to pay for a 6 month rental in advance.

YES, I want to see Java working on Amiga..badly.

PM me and let me know.

@wegster

Ok - I am being deadly serious. We need Apps. I have an Amiga One that rarely gets a boot.

I am willing to loan my Amiga One out to developers. How long would it take to get Java working on OS 4. Would it be useful.

I do not wish to make a prophet as that defeats the point. However provided I'm not out of pocket I do not mind shipping my Amiga One - to be used as some kind of roaming dev box.

A proper agreement would need to be drawn up though - as Id like the thing back in one piece. I am somwhat apprehensive about sending it to the states - so maybe I could firstly loan it to Paihai ?
