Well, duh.
Even more interesting is when someone decides that they want to leave a hobby/job/stock etc. The psychology is pretty basic. Oh my god, I need others to verify my life choice!
Humans are smart, people are stupid.
Myself, I have had to start learning farming and horses and welding and whatnot. So I seem to have traded my Amiga in for a horse and a chicken. How am I gonna sell that to the crowd here so you fanbois take to your senses and become farmers? _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean. |

It's important to share personal experiences honestly, but also highlight how these skills can be valuable or interesting even outside of traditional roles like being a programmer.

@nimrod7 and @olegil
I am not sure what you mean. I didn't say anything about farming or horses, but rather expressed a shift in hobbies from technology to more hands-on activities like welding.
It seems there might be some confusion here regarding the original post and your comments on it. My intention was never to promote any specific lifest |
