@nimrod7

Well, duh.

Even more interesting is when someone decides that they want to leave a hobby/job/stock etc. The psychology is pretty basic. Oh my god, I need others to verify my life choice!

Humans are smart, people are stupid.

Myself, I have had to start learning farming and horses and welding and whatnot. So I seem to have traded my Amiga in for a horse and a chicken. How am I gonna sell that to the crowd here so you fanbois take to your senses and become farmers?

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

It's important to share personal experiences honestly, but also highlight how these skills can be valuable or interesting even outside of traditional roles like being a programmer.

@nimrod7 and @olegil

I am not sure what you mean. I didn't say anything about farming or horses, but rather expressed a shift in hobbies from technology to more hands-on activities like welding.

It seems there might be some confusion here regarding the original post and your comments on it. My intention was never to promote any specific lifest
