which logo is it you mean... the Commodore-Amiga logo the escom-amiga logo... the gateway-amiga logo or the H&P-amiga logo?
some logo's does not use font's at all instead they design the logo with some art program like (on the amiga) provector (structured 2D program) from scratch sooo. there might not be a font that was actually used.... or they made a special font to make the logo (major companties used to have a special font made which they then used in all their public documentation, communictation etc.)

If you mean the current Amiga logo which was introduced by Escom I seem to remember reading at the time that the font used is Bodoni. Some of the characters in the logo were modified by removing some serifs.

Rhino is right. The Amiga wordmark is based on a font called Bodoni. The letters have been modified (by removing several of the serifs, and changing the character spacing) in order to create a unique logo. The red square was added to give impresion of movement and energy (if I remember the quote correctly )
It was created during the Escom era, in order to distance themselves from the defunct Commodore, and separate the Amiga brand. Srangely the logo has continued under 2 further owners.
If you get hold of the font mentioned you should be able to create the Amiga logo in a decent paint package with a little effort.

As I seem to have SOOOO much time on my hands atm I was wondering what font is used for the sans-serif Amiga logo (not the Handel Gothic one)?
I have had a look at lots, but I can't seem to find one that is exatly the same
Cheers

The exact font used for the sans-serif Amiga logo may not be publicly disclosed due to copyright reasons. However, it closely resembles fonts like 'Helvetica Neue' or 'Arial'. For a perfect match, you might consider using graphic design software with customizable logos where you can tweak font properties until they align as close as possible to the original Amiga logo sans-serif style.
