@LUISTHE

It's a really good machine for running apps like Personal Paint and Deluxe Paint, apps that is still missing for Windows.

Then there is many, many other areas (for which it's possible to find apps even for windows) where the Amiga 1200 is still a good machine.

Well ofcourse for the most stuff atleast an 030 CPU and some memory is needed.

It depends on what you want it to do and how much you are willing to spend to do it. I use mine to primarily play games and run demos of old, tinkering etc. If you expect it to replace a modern machine - then no. If you want to have fun and show others what you can do with so little mojo, then yes. Think of how much PC you would have to have to match it. Have fun. . .

@LUISTHE

I use the A1200 Pistorm32 daily for everything like browsing, writing here, listing good mod music. Playing RTS Games like Gorky17 or Heretic2 both are very good. Do my Paintings while playing all the million mods,s3m,xm i collect.
Scan them on my Router Drive and collect the scans over rno ftp. Then i edit them on my Amiga and send them again to FTP to print.

I would say get a Pistorm w Pi4 for like 100 bucks, best you can ever do with an a1200 then get the caffe___OS image and enjoy playing mp3, vcd movies, 3D Games, Write your Letters, Edit Photos, do whatever. just the only missing : You cant play Youtube or Streaming Videos, but since like 90% of ppl on world own a Mobile Phone that is Youtube ready.... i see no problem in that.

Stock A1200 good for classic Games, get a HDD every A1200 got an HDD port inside for a Harddrive or get a SD Adapter for SDcards, get some RAM cheap or a terrible fire 030. Then you can install WHDLoad and enjoy all classic Games without disk swap. Real Pleasure with MonkeyIsland2, Wing Commander etc. 030 should play Doom, Doom2 and MacOS should work too.

Else i read about a apache,php package for A1200 so you could set up a small Webserver, Ftp Server with a PCMCIA Network card.
