Started out on a game, here's the first lines of code :

https://www.mediafire.com/file/94rd0fxsethq4hg/c-code-on-wb1.2.adf/file

I will try to make my first game in C on a WB1.2 system. I made several in AmigaBASIC already. These things will include graphics libraries.

I started the following projects in vbcc.

1. libamigabuffer
includes software for blitting on the A500 frame buffer using a byte array.
This library should be finished to use.
v0.1.4 is here :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/daz008cja3wzvwt/libamigabuffer-0.1.4.zip/file

2. libamigagame
uses the above library for soft sprites in an entity system.
Needs more game mechanics such as drawing lines, images and so on.
v0.1.1 is here :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/87d9hmeo2j2q6oh/libamigagame-0.1.1.zip/file

@zara

Do you have like a video demo of it ? I think most people will find it cumbersome to install it just to take a look, specially considering it's still in early stages.

@Jose

I don't have a video demo handy but I might try to compile it and field a binary of the buffer and game code.

@zara

Have you considered using some hosted version control (GitHub or similar) for this? Obviously this requires access to the tooling but you could use a PC for that if you are working on a physical Amiga.

@Karlos

No I won't, I don't have the time for that. Just amusing myself with these for now.

I don't know much about Python software on Amiga classic hardware, but I've made a Zelda game programmed in Python e.g. a nice tile engine.

Here's the link (may not download) :
http://sf.net/projects/py-zelda/

It's a start of a new series of Zelda games from me, the above is based on the NES game "The Legend of Zelda".

Enjoy!
