Where next for MorphOS?

| As I'm sure is pretty apparent from my recent posts, I regard PPC as a lost cause. I think the MorphOS team made a sensible choice going after the used PowerMac segment but it's obviously not going to last forever.
MorphOS sees ongoing releases and I'm aware of an x64 (x86?) internal version. Is there a plan to go that way eventually? _________________

The MorphOS most of the announce things when they are ready.
And MorphOS x64 was shown more then 2 years ago, but who knows what the difficulty's are ? |

That was a mere proof of concept that was even less functional then the 1st boot on a G5 bigfoot tried to cook up in Essen (in 2010) but only managed 1 day after the show.
A real MorphOS_AMD64 (to give it the correct name) would need to be so much more then running 31Bit big endian binaries on a single core of a 64Bit little endian CPU.
Wether anybody every actually worked on such a big change or if it still in the same mostly useless state as 3 years ago I don't know._________________

I agree, and I have little doubt that the MorphOS team see things the same way. In no small part due to the fact that there is no conflict of interest with selling us expensive PPC hardware.
They're in a good position to make the kind of break that Haiku has done between 32bit and 64bit versions. The former is for backward compatibility, the latter is for forward compatibility.
I don't mind if in the last 2 years they decided to switch to ARM64. As long as they modernise the OS, and the target hardware is readily available and relatively affordable: Like many of the used PowerPPC Macs were. Never paid more than $500 AUD for any used Apple PowerPC system after 2007, including the G5 Quad 2.5GHz which was exactly $500 AUD.
