@AMIGASYSTEM

I know it behaves like this AMIGASYSTEM, my solution is NOT TO DO IT, and it works fine... So you see it renders the icon and because it has a quirk you state it doesn't support?

Quote:
instead of saying that what I write is not true, copy an AROS One Icon (DuaPNG) and copy it to MorpOS,and then try to change the Tooltypes or the Icon type and you will see that the 2 PNG Images will disappear.

Even on OS3.9 DualPNG icons, the 2 images disappear

OS 4.1 icons have nothing to do with DualPNG Icons, it are PowerIcons

If you don't want to do the test, see THIS video of mine

For confirmation also read THIS post on morph.zone

Which was already pointed by JVP
Quote:
I'm pretty sure that hasn't been the case always, but a bug has slipped in at some point. In any case it's already been fixed for the next release which has been available for betatesters since the fix. And DualPNG icons still show up and work just fine if you don't write certain new data on them. My drive icons etc. have "always" been DualPNG icons and in practise I never write any new data on them, so I haven't had issues in practise. So, they're definitely supported even though the current release has a bug.

And another thing, you keep clinging to the AOS4 icons, and I really don't know why since on the disk from PeterK also has png icons.

Thanks for taking the time to create the video. The same happens here, we just have different interpretations of what "supporting DualPNG" is, it seems.

@AMIGASYSTEM
I have tested it further and it indeed do not work, since the second state is overridden by MorphOS own system, discarding the second image and setting a blend mode instead.

MorphOS DualPNG icons

I was under the impression that since it loaded the icons correctly, the second state that appeared was also correct, which it isn't.

When I saw your video it didn't address this issue, since it only focus on the act of updating the icon settings, which IMO aren't relevant.

@pixie

I have the impression that you don't read what I write, and you make a big confusion, the "2001_icons.lha" archive you downloaded "They are not DualPNG Icons", they are just "PNG Images renamed .INFO"

DualPNG Icons -> They are icons copied from 2 PNG Images where you can add Glow reflections and create some sort of Animation

"2001_icons.lha" -> They are simple PNG images (only one image) so Static Images !

So I repeat for the umpteenth time that MOS sees DualPNG images, cannot change anything, change tooltypes, change images, change path Tool, so you can't say it handles them well, more than relevant problem

June brought, first of all, a refreshed AROS One distribution and completed work on the 32-bit emulator prototype. Plus, as usual, some software updates:
