The ARM CPU will be more and more powerfull with time. It is also good to have mothern gfx hardware on board. If you compare this to vampire this solution is way more powerfull and much more future proof. The problem is that we don't know if original amiga software will run on it as it does on original hardware or vampire. Writing drivers for sound, WiFi, gfx card, usb etc. I think Mschulz need help or this project is going to take a very long time. Would it not be good to announce something on the Pi forum and get possible developers to join the party?

It is not entirely clear to me how things get merged back. I have to admit that I have no experience working with mixed source control systems. If I contribute something, someone would need to look into it and approve it, how does that happen?
If I clone someone github repository and post a pull request, it is not so nice if that person mainly use it as his own private work repository.
I have worked with svn in the past, 10 years in fact, but I rather stay clear from it these days.
