@amigang

Paolone is working on IcarOS, there is an updated experimental version on his site !

Small update that fixes in addition to OpenURL Prefs, Input prefs, and adds 4Set of AmiFox buttons.

Once you unpacked the Zip Archive, run the "Update-ArosOne" icon, if you want to see the new Buttons on AmiFox you have to restart AROS One.

Be sure not to run AmiFox after the update otherwise the new button preference will be overwritten in the Env-Archive.

If you want to change the Set Buttons to AmiFox, then I will explain how races, for AROS One v2.1 I will prepare scripts for automatic replacement.

Here is the new Update AROS One v2.0

Work on Icaros goes on, although at a slowest pace than before. More involving and time consuming projects, and real life issues, reduced my spare time available to Icaros Desktop. Anyway, you can download the experimental builds I put on the site from time to time, there's already a fairly recent one on icarosdesktop.org.

Please open a different thread for Icaros questions, I don't want to hijack this topic.

Created the Skins set for AROSAmp for AROS One x86 (all created by hand), there are 12 new Skins, one of which is Lite (see attached video).

Also I managed to correct the graphical artifacts, now the GUIs look perfect, in the video you can see the 12 new Skins loaded all at the same time, plus the 3 default Skins.

AROSAmp, although it is an alpha version, is very stable, only the exit gadget and the Skin change (not implemented) do not work, you can still exit the Menu and change the Skins from the scripts I created (see video).

PlayList and preference program works well.

Looks wonderful. I have not download or tried AROS in years and years. One question on installing to HD. Is there still a size limit on partitions? It used to be like 120gig or something. Did that ever get resolved?

Thanks

Donald

Yes I think the 120GB limit per SFS partition is still left, anyway you could split the Hardisk into many 120GB partitions, or format the rest of the Hardisk with FAT32 or NTFS (supported but not tested).

I want to mention that AROS One you can also test it with a Pendrive, also you can use the Pendrive to install AROS One at maximum speed, you can create the "Pendrive Install", burning the USB image available for download, required a 4GB pendrive.

If you use a pendrive larger than 4GB, the rest of the content you can create a Partition in FAT32 and use this partition to exchange data between AROS One and other Operating Systems.

@AMIGASYSTEM

Thank You. I may try that. It really is a shame that the file system has not been updated.

Also released is a new version of filesysbox.library V54.4 for OS3 and AROS x86, now you can unmount and remount the same shared folder, also works on virtual machines like VMware.

This will allow those using Windows shares to disconnect "expired" shares after 15 minutes !!!

On AROS One created special Script that DisMount and Mount the "disconnected" connection (see screenshot)

As a matter of security Windows systems disable network shares after 15 minutes, this disassembly procedure avoids changing this Windows feature.

In this link you will find all the updates of AROS One x86, to see the screenshots you must be logged in !
