@vox
You seem to take my reply to Kimmo a bit out of context. It was about possible future changes to amigabounty.

Bounty: Raise funds to purchase loaner hardware - in the accompanying AW thread, Trevor (who initiated the bounty) says that "details of software projects are and will be posted on the AmigaBounty.net website". All I can see on your website is an announcement that the systems are available now, does that mean these systems have never been given to any developers? Who has them now, and for what purpose?
Diego Casorran and Robert Szacki has currently got the systems. Diego is working on an avcodec.library update and Robert to turn his icon editor into a basic paint program. Names on the persons having the loaner hardware has been added to the frontpage. The loaner HW should be getting their own page at some point, with names and project descriptions.

Bounty: Developer Machine for Spotify has no deadline set. How will "the committee" determine if they bounty has failed and it's time to ask for a return of the Sam system?
It's not a loaner system. "Try" and "give" are the keywords for this bounty description.

I am sorry it looks like everybody is attacking you, but lets go back to basics:

a) Was Timberwolf bounty closed and cash paid to developers?
b) If YES, Assume that was done based on closed list bounty team decission
c) if YES, don`t you think it would be helpful if team explained why since it was one of bigger Amiga bounties so far, product is release candidate and being bugfixed?
d) if YES, do developers have any more obligations toward ending development?

A. yes, as stated on the bounty site, once bounties are moved to finished it means money has been paid.
B. yes, based on the experience with RC1.
C. yes a press release and a more functional RC2 would have been most helpful.
D. I expect bugs to be removed and better stability to be introduced with RC3. I see bounty as fully completed apart from the current bugs and stability problems. There are no plans to end development of Timberwolf that I know of.

@billt

Referring to the UAE JIT project: What happens if it turns out to be harder than the developer thought and work grinds to a halt? Increase the bounty?
