Well, we are 1/2 way towards the adage of the broken clock being correct twice per day.

So really this is a time saver for those needing to add santa hats in December. The work is already done!

This behaviour is highly annoying and is the same problem as last time, server was in a deadlock and hardly any tables were ever being unlocked.

It seems someone has found that if you just refresh the frontpage endlessly the server gets bogged down and eventually deadlocked, updating the "who's online" block.

I've put a bit of code there, in an attempt to slow that down a bit.

Let's see if that helps.
