| Hi,
On behalf of somebody close to me (but NOT myself!), with no access to any Amiga forum, I post his request:Quote:
We're looking for an enthusiast experienced in drawing pixel-art tiles, objects, and animations. We have recreated a game engine from scratch to run levels for an old Amiga game called Valhalla (see https://www.mobygames.com/game/13132/valhalla-and-the-lord-of-infinity/), and now we're thinking about creating new levels, graphics, sounds, and a new story. Thus an entirely new game with a retro feel.
The game is a slow-paced puzzle adventure that requires thinking (e.g place water in a glass and read a paper with a biblical phrase to convert to wine, or place a stick on sulphur powder to create a matchstick). It has a top-down view and you can move around with the arrows (tile per tile). You can take stuff, drop stuff, operate stuff etc. It is set in the past (such as in castles, manors, caves, etc) but we're open to other suggestions.
We'd need a full set of tiles per scene, think about maybe 40 tiles per set. We can discuss tile size. Currently we're me (game engine developer) and Russ (level designer), we need graphics and sound artists and more level designers / story creators.
Let me know if you're interested or know someone who is! |
Please respond by PM.

| That sounds like a really cool project! The Valhalla-like puzzle gameplay brings back memories. It's awesome you're recreating that classic feel. Pixel art tiles are definitely key to nailing the retro aesthetic. It's giving me nostalgic vibes from other tile based game I love, like when I was addicted to Snow Rider 3D! I'm not a pixel artist myself, but I'll definitely keep an ear to the ground and see if I know anyone who might be a good fit. Best of luck finding the right team!
