Good idea but an AGA version of MK2 with CD32 pad control might have been a less ambitious start? I was never a fan of the Earth setting of MK3 to be honest! _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

But not everyone wants to work on less ambitious projects. Go big or go home, as they say.
MK2 for OCS/ECS was already a very good port back in the day. Adding more colours and CD32 controller support wouldn't be that exciting. Those would be enhancements better suited for someone who's into hacking / modding, not someone like Arti who obviously enjoys producing full-fledged conversions.
Attempting an MK3 conversion is a good call, and I hope Arti can really pull it off!

| First beta test on a real Amiga 1200 with 68060 @ 100 MHz !
Arti continues to plug away at delivering a Mortal Kombat 3 conversion for our favourite computer. He acknowledges that there's a graphical bug on the pre-fight character ladder screen, but he's confident it'll be fixed very soon.

Nope. Porting an existing open source project that has multiple developers definitely isnt harder or more ambitious than patching or disassembling/reassembling existing code by oneself.
How on earth to you jump to that highly amusing idea? Ive noticed you have a tendency to be wrong with confidence about things a lot. |

I didn't know MK3 was now open source. I prefer MK2 is all and would prefer a version with 4-button CD32 pad support with AGA graphics more like the PC version. Considering tbe progress being made on The Adams Family with scrolling ST-like backgrounds, MK2 AGA is very much possible! More so than a proper Street Fighter 2 AGA. _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |
