Too narrow for what?

Too narrow in comparison to the unpopulated space at the left in the photo (clue #2). FF1696 BGA doesn't seem to be quite right. At least FF1696 has those four "corner-pins" that you can also see in the photograph.Last edited by hatschi on 10-Sep-2006 at 11:33 AM.

Yes, I tried to keep it down to a minimum to avoid boring nontechnical people.
By the way, I forgot to say that (keeping to static-ram-based FPGAs and avoiding one-time-programmable antifuse ones) its functions can be changed at any time by an external master processor that reconfigures it, so you can "upgrade" your hardware just as you do with your software (keeping within size and speed limits of the chip you have available), even on the fly. |

Unpopulated PCBA? ... I thought that it was a photo of the bottom side of the board. _________________ La fortuna è cieca. La sfiga ci vede benissimo. |

But I wonder if 667mhz is enough for the people who hasn't yet bought an AmigaONE? |
No, its not. It has even less power than a G3/600 MHz. If it doesn't have at least the 440GX with 800 MHz I don't think I would buy it. Why is nobody able to make a simple G3/G4 Board that has at least the specs of the latest A1 or Pegasos? What do I want with such a low-power embedded system? I need a powerful desktop. Yeah sure, it would be cheaper, has more power than my old Amiga and is better than nothing but thats nothing I would waste my money for. I hope there will be a better hardware available soon.

| @DJBase There is certainly a need for a higher end board. The 1500-2000 A1 owners are hardly likely to trade up unless there is a significant performance hike. _________________ Happiness is mandatory. MindSpace: MindMaps and UML diagrams for OS4
