@Androxyn

They shouldn't have made announcements about new hardware then should they.

I don’t get it, isn’t Adam AND Ack the same person

Why would developer boards be shipping?

Because it was announced after the lawsuit was underway by ACK.

Quote:

Amiga does not yet have OS4 in their possession. And since the ACK machines are commissioned by Amiga to run OS4, it would be stupid to proceed any further until the OS is secured.

And yet its Amiga and ACK annoucing they are doing so anyway.

ACK seems to have missed the first date range he offered up of his own free will, developer boards to developers in mid-May, done after the lawsuit had started.

He is simply being asked to confirm this and when the revised date is, and if he wants to throw in any of the reasons why that would be a cool bonus.

Why should we have to assume when he is selectively active in this thread. Let him speak, we don't need anyone else doing it for him. Its a pretty simple question. And he made the statement that started the situation.

Quote:

If somebody wishes to start threads called;

"Why I hate ack"
"Why I hate OS News"
"Why I love MorphOS and want to smear it all over my body as I give myself to it utterly"

or any other topic which has reared it's biased face then please do so on another thread.

MorphOS was brought up only to illustrate that OSNews does not appear biased towards anything not Linux as was stated by someone in the thread. So what you wrote in regard to that I think is entirely un-called for. Your own post rears its own biased face of you seeming to be an Amiga/ACK apologist. You are attempting to twist a straight-forward question from community members into giving it the appearance of an ACK hate campaign. That simply not so. I want an update on what he said to the community as I'm interested in it as an upcoming product, one I plan to be buying it when its available to the public.

No one told ACK to say Mid-May. And I still see no reference, besides derfs saying so that he wrote a revisement to that.

ACK said they would be sending out boards to develoeprs mid-May. A few people assumed that meant May 2007 and that he was telling the truth.

OS4 is not mentioned anywhere in the official announcement on amiga.com. They could just as well be running UAE for all we know.

Amiga Inc. has hung a carrot for Winter 2007, perhaps all questions will be answered then, or a new carrot hung out! From amiga.com:
"Power level product ready for Customers Winter 2007"

@Androxyn

I don't think anybody really cares wether and to whom Adam ships boards.

What people do care about is wether the boards are real (and sending some to developers as promised would be perfect proove), or if it is just another hoax.

Adam could just go to the next Amiga-meeting with a working bord and would have allmost the same effect.

End this please, there will only be a total of five (5) developer systems sent to OS4 developers that will be responsible for drivers, HAL ports. When some of the smoke settles, more information will be released. The systems going to the devs will not cost them anything and they're not for public consumption.

Then stop with the carrot dangling, all this negativity towards you is justified and hopefully people will eventually wake up and see the real you (ie a hoaxer and a scammer).
