I know that GNGeo let's the coder chose what Z80 emulator to use when compiling it. It let's you chose between RAZE (asm) and MAME's (c) Z80 emulator, so this player might work with the MAME Z80 emu as well. Download the GNGEO sources here and rip out the MAME Z80 emu and try if you wanna get this one going! I bet it will work perfectly!

Konami GX sound player This sound player lets you enjoy music from some mid-nineties Konami games. Download Sources. It uses a 68k emulator written in assembler. :/ |
The Generator68k emulator is a 68k emulator written in C, and it compiles easily. This player will probably work just as well with this 68k emu.
Download the GNGEO sources here and rip out the Generator68k emu and try!_________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

Protrekkr (.ptk) It's the little brother of Renoise! It includes a softsynth and a 303 emulator and stuff. It's intended to be used to make music for 64k intros. The replayer source is included in the archive, download here! |
The replayer included is a bit weird.
From what I have read it seems that you need to use Protrekkr to export a .ptp file as well as a Ptk_properties.h header file and then using these and the replayer sources you can compile a replayer optimised for this particular module (the .ptp version that is, not the .ptk).
Doesn't sound very useful for a TuneNet plugin ... |
I have talked to Hitchhiker, he will write some code and send it to me soon! =) So there might still be hope! :D

The s98 plugin should also be able to handle VGM and MYM formats although I haven't tested it with either of these formats. |
we already have the VGM formats covered, but MYM is interesting. I don't know anything about the MYM format though... (yet!)...
Update: Download MYM music here!
Here you'll find some converters and other MYM related tools: http://www.kameli.net/lt/prod.htm
Oh yea, MYM music is YM music converted to be playable on Amstrad CPC if I got it right. =)

TuneModPlug plugin updated:
1.3 (28-Apr-2008) - Enabled MOD and MED support
Salass00: Why MOD and MED? MikMod is known all over to do a very bad job at playing back mods.
Dunno if it plays back MED better than what we've currently got though. _________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

TN_ModPlug doesn't play any of the MED files I have tried with here. MikMod plays them though.
MikMod was able to play all the ProTracker MOD files I threw at it without problems, and also it detects the end of the module unlike TN_PT which just loops back to the beginning. |

One day on another site far away you said,
Quote:
i've got this huge thread called Let's make tunenet plugins! at that other amiga site going.... it would be nice if you participated and helped me to test all plugins! |
I had looked at this one several times, but it sort of looked like you were interested in hardware rather than software.
To the point: I can't make the wma plugin work with files recorded on an Olympus WS_100. They play OK with MPlayer, but MPlayer doesn't know what to do when it comes to the end of one (the whole system slows down, and generally crashes before long).
TN_WMA.tnplug starts and stops playing the files just fine. But they don't play in proper sequence--if speech, syllables are dropped, if music, notes get missed here and there.
I contacted Curty back in November or December and after looking at a couple of my files, he said he thought he had a fix. But so far nothing... |

There's a thread on Iksnet (in italian) where an user complains that he can't replay MED tunes correctly. ModPlug doesn't output any sound, while MikMod replays them with wrong speed and pitch. Are there other plugins that correctly replay MED tunes? What about UADE, I believe it's the best choice on OS4 ATM, is anyone working on a plugin version of it?

I have made some progress on the USF plugin (64th Note). It's compiling now and seems to be mostly working except I haven't added the sound output code yet and there are some issues with the threading code.
I think I will try to simply remove the threading code and simply call the relevant function directly instead since the threading doesn't serve a purpose here and just makes for a lot more work. |

Eh... WTF.. YOU WHAT?!?....
This is seriously SERIOUSLY great news! 64th Note is known for being very x86 centric not many players have a 64th note plugin i believe... This is GREAT news man! I gave up on N64 music a long time ago!.... Did you use the BeOS sources? You must have put a lot of effort into this?

I couldn't find sources for the BeOS port so I used the Windows sources.
Most of the problem was with windows specific functions being used in the code. I'm using libwin32.a for the file i/o and threading, the rest I have changed into equivalent functions or simply disabled because they weren't really necessary.
I also fixed a few endian issues (the ones I have found anyway) and disabled some x86 asm code for configuring the fpu rounding behaviour (I don't think this will cause problems). |

64th note, WOW that is great good luck with the progress.

A while ago you said you had uploaded some samcoupe COP tunes to modland but so far I have been unable to find them have they not gone to /pub/modules yet? |
