@mwoof

yes, there're NPCs (Non-player Characters) like orcs, elves, dwarfs and dragons and, most evil, undeads.

@all

I`ve registered a new realm just in this minute. A clean installation of version V057_P2 works fine here. Was anyone else successful?

It would be nice, but it's not necessary because ToT is a turn based game. Means, you have a whole day for deciding what to do. Hence, no interactive, quick decisions are necessary---but could help for explaining/discussing some issues. :)

@all

oh and try to find mediaevil names for your realm. It sounds a little bit strange if you are called "Lord Xtrayt4332", right?

@GameOn

I have successfully registered and worked my way through the 1st tutorial, and completed my 1st turn. I believe there is another turn waiting in email for me.

My nickname in-game is Hallecturus.

Any more successful registrations?

Yes, yes, i know, i'm starting to bother you. I just can't believe that noone is left in the amiga community (aside from some Germans) who wants to play cool games

@GameOn

I've been playing since May 2nd. Not much seems to be happening but I'm still learning how to play. Somehow the tutorial only worked for my first move and I have not read the manual so I'm kind of winging it a bit.

@Beamish2040

sorry, it seems i'd missed your posting! but just now, I've written you a private message.

regarding the Taverne/Chat-Login problem: this should be fixed with the latest public version V057_p2 (at least for me it works fine with AOS4 classic)

kind regards,

Would you like the tutorials? I've been getting them in email. I have 1 - 4 of 8.

Would anyone object to my posting them here in the thread??

@all who started to play

How do you like ToT so far? Perhaps some "WOW!, COOL!, etc"-staments could tempt some more people to play ToT

cheers,

The tales of Tamar are proceeding quite well but still, there are too few english speaking Amiga gamers!

How about joining the Tales of Tamar and kick some mediaeval german asses?

@TiredofLife

if there should be a problem post it at http://tamar.4players.de/phpBB/index.php?f=21

Also download the latest version from http://www.tamar.net. This Version works fine with my AOS4 installation.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I tried the registration procedure several times! As long as you have an email account which you can access on default ports and without SSL, it *should* work without problems.

@xyphoid

really strange! When did you tried it? if you got a world, it means you got your first turn. Why didn't you get then the next turn? Spamfilter? (first and next turn differ)

Problems post at http://tamar.4players.de/phpBB/index.php?f=21 instead of emailing (or email me ).
The community there is very nice!

Anyway, to whom did you wrote the email?

In principle, the registration procedure should be failsafe as long as your email account is appropiate (no SSL, default ports).

cheers,

GameOn

Edit: And of course, you may no download the turns with your email client

I just want to inform you that some german speaking Barbarians started a war against the english speaking people.

Here are some stories about it:

No joy again.
I send the registration but there are never any emails to say it's been accepted,

Tried a couple of days ago using the anonymous ToT email account but no joy.
Have just tried again.

@TiredofLife

Anonymous ToT email account didn't work? What System do you use? Some firewall & router issues perhaps? Anonymous registration must work. There's nothing which cannot not work It's just like getting emails from a pop3-account. And with an anonymous ToT account, you don't have to enter or change any settings.

Did you reinstall ToT AND clicked - after starting ToT - on the "new" button at the title screen to reset everything to a fresh "realm"?

(Did you get the confirmation email to your private email address as soon as your realm has been founded? of course, only if you have entered your private email address for that purpose at the registration screen.)

I really cannot think of anything other which could explain that you don't get a turn.
