TRUE! I've seen it over and over again, and not only here! Pumping petrol prices and having to do price changes just as someone pulls up lead to 2 outcomes;
Looks / Re-Actions / Tone & Attitude!
1) Total disgust cause they have to pay another 2-4c
2) Sheer disbelief that they are so lucky to pull up at the right time, defeating the system against all odds and saving 2-4c.

Sorry I couldn't help but remember how I was hated and loved all in the same week!

Gas is a necessity for many. Your Limebooks are a necessity for no one. And if you don't want to have to see or deal with customer reactions to price changes, well then, just get out of business with the public.

(Before anyone gets upset, I am not saying it is a scam, just that when you have low feedback and you are selling something that it would be questionable if anyone would have in their possession its just normal practice to post pictures that prove you indeed have the item).

Agreee 100% on that

Funny thing was when I was reading last years results on another URL, it crashed my browser. I have 4 x CPU cores... 64Bit --- I guess the amount overwhelmed all those extra registers where Intel stores nano-500-dollar-bills. LOL

IF LOWERED / DISCOUNTED PRICES (CONTINUE) THEN WHAT???

OK last quarter 2008 it seemed like share holder made 4c / share! Down from 38 cents per share in the previous quarter. I DON'T THINK share holders will be willing to take on any more losses in income. Watch this space! Would you accept a loss or 1-4c per share?

Hypothetical Scenario
1) Lowered prices continue to flood the market
Possible Outcomes:
a) Sooner or later everyone has a laptop, notebook or desktop to last them for
2-4-6 or more years!
Result:
Even less units are sold at lowered / discounted prices.
I SUSPECT THERE MIGHT BE A VACUUM / BLACK HOLE PERIOD - lasting for several years I hope not, fingers crossed!
2) There is no (2) - unless prices are returned to manageable & reasonable levels which I think are;
a) MIN $500 Notebooks - when new
b) MIN $1000 Laptops - when new
c) MIN $1500 Desktops - when new

If you want to switch gears to an entirely different subject like Intel's earnings-per-share history and future prospects in regard to Intel earnings why not make a thread about it in Free For All?

You go off on these wild tangents (IMHO) pretty often. It dosen't (IMHO), move the thread current topic along in any substantive way. And, really, I think it will only hurt your possibility of any future sales here as a computer vendor (again IMHO).

Drafting up an invoice for 10 more units, pending further negotiations & final confirmation.
Fingers crossed!

Besides economic down turn, Intel might be suffering the "Osborn effect" i.e. Intel Core i5 (Q3 2009) and i7 displacing Intel Core 2.

I'm still traveling at the moment, but I'm surprised - you require 'immediate payment' but yet you don't exactly *ship* immediately, do you? Per your auction:
Quote:

Domestic handling time
Will usually ship within 20 business days of receiving cleared payment.

Really, what the heck is up with THAT? Shipping from VA, takes at best 5 days via UPS Ground, but you don't even ship until THREE WEEKS AFTER PAYMENT!?!?

What gives?

More than that since 20 business days will have a few weekends in there, its closer to a month.

Auction says:

Quote:
US Postal Service Parcel Post® Estimated delivery 22 - 29 business days after seller receives cleared payment

@meet.mrnrg

This would not be because you don't actually have those two units and they are still in China right?

@meet.mrnrg

So, once again, you seem to show you just do NOT get it - why would you have ship times of a MONTH?

Is this where your exaggerations over 'it comes by sea, planes, trains, and carrier pigeon' (instead of you know, UPS or FedEx) comes into play?

@wegster

Based on delays in receiving my items from HongKong and other areas around the world, in other business transactions.
1) Better to prepare the buyer for the worst, possible delivery time. I hope you agree.
2) 24x48 delivery is just way to expensive. IMHO
3) 5 Day delivery is less expensive but still expensive IMHO
4) 5-10 Day delivery is most likely, if nothing is delayed and every body all around the world is running on time. This will be the AIM

Over all IMHO most people hate waiting, but it's worse when you are expecting delivery on a particular day (time frame), and it does not arrive.

TRACKING Numbers, will be provided where possible!

What does other business transactions have to do with the two Limebooks you seem to insinuate that you have possession of in Virgina?

Or did you get the manual and side box view photos from your foreign country distributor where the units are not in this country (the U.S.A) yet and not in your possession?

You are supposed to be clear on ebay if you have the items in stock or not. If you don't have them and obscure the fact that they are not in your hands thats going to ruin your feedback score. It sounds like you plan to take money in, use that money to then try to buy the Limebooks abroad, import them as purchased here and there, and then when you finally get them, ship them out to customers. Its hard to imagine another explanation for needing 22 to 29 days to ship.

Please enlighten us if not the case.

That's interesting, can you quote to Terms and Conditions with a cut and paste job, to the specific location where it says that?

Lets quote your own auction:

Quote:
Item location: Ashburn, Virginia, United States
Quantity: 2 available

Notice it says "Item location". It does not say "Location of seller".

If you want your ebay listing to look fishy with stock photos, with it saying it will take the USPS 22 to 29 days to ship anywhere in the U.S.A. from Ashburn, VA, U.S.A. thats up to you.
