Ok, but that did not say they are in your possession either. That could be a warehouse, third party, etc, nor does it explain your one month turnaround time. This leads me to believe these are still drop shipped items, not in YOUR physical possession..even if drop shipped, UPS is 1-5 days from ship date, even USPS is < 7 days for anywhere inside the US, yet you won't even SHIP until N days after the payment clears..why?

@ALL

---Item Packaging---
Image is to provide people with a rough idea of how the next batch will be packaged and delivered to VA USA - East Coast. Each package will contain 3 units or more. So to meet the target of 10 pre-orders, that would mean 4 boxes right?

Communication: It means that at best the item/s will be shipped within 1-7 working days, at worst the items will be shipped within 30days, otherwise TryTerra Computer / eBay store would have to convey the details of any problems or delays to the buyer.

It looks like TryTerra/Easypocketmoney.com is in Australia.

Also, if you are in Australia, why is your ebay user id shown as residing in the U.S.?

So you could not be bothered to do so, thats why you want almost a month to be able to ship after payment?!?!

Whats to convey besides a tracking number in case of an issue and just working with the carrier and customer if there is any problem?

@Yo

Just to be clear, I did not provide any "private and personal details". I simply provided the very PUBLIC WHOIS info for the domain, which is available to everyone on the entire internet.

Its Public WHOIS information about a company trying to sell equipment.

Anyone who does not want this info listed on the internet can simply choose to have it not listed by using services such as Domain by Proxy. Since this person also claims to be a Java/Web developer that would be something they'd certainly know. And as a fellow Godaddy customer I can attest to the fact that they make that fact VERY clear to its customers, whether they be tech savvy or not.

Its no different then me posting that Apple is at 1 Infinite Loop in Cupertino, CA.

That said, its your board to moderate, so its certainly within your rights to ban that info here, I will certainly comply in not posting similar public info in the future.

@fairlanefastback

I understand it is very easy information to find, and yes, I agree with the fact that anyone (with any 'nounce') can pull it up easily.

However, it is also highly inappropriate to list ANY private details on a forum, regardless of where it is.

Now, the people here are pretty saavy, they could easily figure out how to pull up meet's info with nary but a few keystrokes. But also, we get all KINDS of trolls on here who are NOT as considerate as the average board member and they very well MIGHT want to use the info you listed for nefarious purposes. I mean, that address might have been a home and not an office, right? Now, I don't know about you, but I don't really WANT everyone who arrives here to know where I sleep... and where my children play.

So, going forward, I think a bit more discretion is advisable.

@meet

I also think you have some questions that have been raised by fastlanefastback that should be addressed. Full disclosure is in everyone's interest, yes?

For the purposes of conversation and to just make it clear on my intentions I'll try to give a brief reply. TryTerra is a company trying to sell goods. They have chosen to list themselves in the Australian Yellow Pages which I linked and chose to list their desired public contact info through domain registration. These are all active decisions on their part to be accessible, on purpose. Its making the info available to the public, on purpose. Its not private info because that company made specific decisions not to limit it to just private consumption. So I do not agree that it is in any way, "private details". No one forces a company to take out Yellow Pages listing, indeed they need to pay for it. And no one tells a company what to put into public WHOIS listing. You list contacts so they can be looked up and contacted by anyone.

Regardless, my purpose was simply to show that this firm says, through these pieces of info (that they have specifically and actively chosen themselves to make public), that they are a company in Australia. Nothing more was meant by my simple cut and paste of WHOIS.

Now, if someone spent time "digging up" info that was clearly accidentally in the public view, then you'd be right I'd say. But that is not the case here IMHO, not by a long shot.

But again, I defer to your interpretation in regard to how I will approach such a situation in the future, and certainly I see how you are seeking to be very well intentioned here.

@fairlanefastback

Being forced to pay, to make details private, is not a fair industry practice.

A few bucks a year (literally)? And this coming from someone talking about how we can't have an economy with any cheap or free rides anymore? Using that as justification for a $500 (now $440) price on the equipment you want to sell? Please.

Since I was a child the phone company has charged for you to have a private listing. This has been the standard for decades and decades.

The difference is being forced... and not being forced! Personal information is not a product or service. FULL STOP! Use another forum / thread please.

Tell that to the phone company for private listings and companies like Domains by Proxy for WHOIS info. You don't have a right to a phone # or a web page. If you want one you need to pay for it. And if you want certain privacy features associated with those things, you need to pay for it too. Regardless, you are back to smoke and mirror answers.

How is an listing you put into the Australian Yellow Pages and info you chose to submit for public info Domain Registration "hearsay"?

Also I'm not accusing you of anything. For all I know you grew up in Australia and have since moved and that's why there is the disparity. Businesses move. No big deal if thats the case. Just clarify. When you have given clear answers I have directly thanked you for being clear. Its taken some time but you have shown better pictures which is a plus. You finally confirmed where the Limebooks currently are, another plus. This inquiry is no different.
