@NutsAboutAmiga

Oh for heavens sakes. There's nothing unusual about kids wanting things sooner rather than later.

What's there to get? Just tell them to shut up back there or we'll stop this OS and go home.

Or something.

Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean.

I don't get all your fuse, AmigaOS4 has different USB stack, and its going to get USB2.0 support sooner or later, mean while most USB2.0 devices are backward compatible whit USB1.1, so its not a problem.

Well spoken.

I know that my words might sound not-so-polite, but while I am an AROS addict and the Icaros mantainer, I am also a lucky AmigaOS 4.1 user. And, from my humble point of view, I sincerely hope that Poseidon will be adopted by AmigaOS 4.x as well: sources will be there, Hyperion hasn't much more to do than modify it to comply with their exisisting code base and contribute back their changes to the Amiga community, as the APL asks for.

I'd be really sad if the choice of the USB stack would depend only on political reasons or, even worse, on developers' egos.

But well, if you personally prefer to pay to be stuck to 1.1 speeds, who am I to care?

This post is only to mention that a new update for Icaros desktop including Poseidon is officially available for download. For now it requires Icaros 1.1.2 already installe, but I hope to provide a whole Live-DVD with the complete distribution already updated to 1.1.3 as soon as possible.
