For now better just not use pthreads at all, but later, when Ssolie will be more or less active again, then why not. Because worring about pthreads and bug-fixing of it right now, its a bit more work , and in general for curl pthreads works looks like a bit wrong.. So for us its not big deal and removing of pthreads deps looks like are must._________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites |

Thanks for the status, it seems NPAPI support would be possible in this first release _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

A girl name including the the letters OWB maybe?
@kas1e
I think changing the name is a good idea as we already have an 'OWB' and OWB-MUI would be pretty horrible. Maybe rearrange the letters OWBMUI into as name?
@djrikki
Agree, Compass would be a half decent choice but does suggest some sort of GPS/route finder software to me. |

Maybe an anagram of OWBMUI? MOBWUI? WOBMIU?
Compass could be extended to WEBCOMPASS - or in reminiscence of IBrowse and AWeb to OWeb or OBrowse... Last edited by cha05e90 on 23-Apr-2011 at 07:09 AM.

no, you're wrong. he will release the next version with its new name but it will still be kept secret. thus we won't be allowed to say the name of the browser that shouldn't be named when we'll speak about it you know what i mean haha Last edited by freeaks on 23-Apr-2011 at 12:15 PM.

thanks :) on the other hand, a reference to lovecraft is never a bad thing .. ..humz.. what about that idea: tentacular browser .. TBrowse ? with a tag line: the browser that shouldn't be named .. (it even sound like ibrowse, but T instead of I) .. networks are kinda like tentacles so it could browse them .. Last edited by freeaks on 23-Apr-2011 at 12:34 PM. Imho you need to create one more thread about name for, looks like its all so important for everyone , that even browser itself not so matter, but name are matter :)
@all
Let's maybe create new thread , and put all the ideas in it ? (just to avoid that thread, which is mostly start to be like port-progress thread). _________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites |

Still working on. One bug are in the 68k Lamp.mcc (it's turned out to be not so easy to fix). Another new bug found in the cookie-manager (i hope today we with deniil can worring with it). Rewriting of it a bit hard now , so while we trying to make workorounds i also trying to found initial author of 68k class to asking him for sources (write about 6-8 mails on different mail boxes which found in the google, maybe some of them will working one).
The bug in the cookie-manager is present (need to fix). Dunno how big/small it will be, but hope today we with deniil can worring about.
The good news : with help of Fab we foudn why some sites was slow: its because of enabled css3-feature "shadows". The first versions of it was slow in webkit (just sucky-first-implementation), so for that sources of webkit which use 1.9, we disabled it (right now do whole recompiling to test if it is it). Lately webkit guys fix all that stuff, and shadows works fine, but for us better to disable it for now (not big deal).
And as usuall : still need to add mouse pointers, network threading, fix/rewrite curl in few parts and that all.

Morphos mui developers 100% will not open any of their mui components, i am for now sure about it at 100% (already talk with few of them) , and all what we can do there: write our realisations from scratch, or just make workorounds in the owb-code or our-mui.
ps. but you as well can try to ask Tokai about Lamp sources, maybe he will give it for you :)
ps2. also you can try to found 68k's lamp.mcc author (that Maik 'BLiZZeR' Schreiber). I just tryed to find by google his name, and found about 6-8 mails, 5 of which are dead, but 3 looks like not (still, dunno if he alive at all, and if he checked these mails, and if he still have lamp.mcc sources, and if they in the C). Mmm there are 2 MUI class ported by Tokai, this Lamp and the Crawling.mcc, both of them are freeware but i don't think they are parts of MorphOS system, aniway i will try
Eventually we may ask him for the original source, not the one modified but the originals. _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE
