Yeah, you must own a copy of Windows, or something to that effect.

Enable the window popdown gadget in MUI prefs. Then you will get another gadget in to top-right corner of the window. In this menu there are items for jumping to screens, editing MUI setting, snapshotting windows etc..

YYouTube video uploader not flash, works in reaction OWB up to a point, i.e. you can select the file you want from the drive, and start filling in the comments parts, but upload always fails after a few seconds. Annoying to make a video on the Amiga and then have to use another computer to upload. ffmpeg has a preset for converting video files to MP4 and Flash, I'm trying to upload MP4 videos here.

Similar story with eBay selling form/photo uploader.

This is sadly a well know problem (almost for me) infact also site such Facebook and many other big site or upload site using Ajax scripts doesn't work decently, i hardly suspect about LibCURL ... i hate this crap !

You mean kiosk mode i presume ... (like pressing F11 on Windows/Firefox)

No isn't availible on OWB yet but you can with NetSurf and Timberwolf 3.5 Alpha

@samo79

With OWB MUI, you can hide navigation/url/fastlinks/status. It would be trivial to make it fullscreen. It's just i don't have any use for that.

As for Ajax, it's certainly no issue with OWB nor CURL. If you encounter some issues, it would rather be cookie related, somehow. About Youtube Upload, spoofing as Firefox makes it work, funnily.

@all

Deniil fix curls URI stuff, now all the pathes works as describe in protocol itself, and you can d&d files on owb window as well as open local files.

@fab

Indeed uploading of vids not related to curl looks like .. Trying right now to upload video to youtube, and have "cant upload video because of unknown error". I also have set FireFox spoofing. There is screenshot. Have any clue ?

PS. And the same with morphos 1.9 version, there is screenshot

Curious to know the problem (on the MickJT recent port or on mui-OWB itself) ?

Its problem of port, yes. That one which are on os4depot are plain ./configure; make in general, without code-reworking, and because of that , URI protocol (that one, for file:// stuff), works wrong.
I will send fix to MickJt later

Yes i know but the one you say it's not exactly a kiosk effect, kiosk serve to toggle some (or all) gadgets from a window, it can be used not only to open a window in real fullscreen (like for example pressing F11 on Firefox) but also to open a window in a specific Javascript dimention)

For example in this portal click on "more..." link in "Who's Online" section

OWB just open this link in a new tab (or in a new window) normally while Firefox is able to open a little popup window with not-resizable gadgets.

Well, would be cool to have such feature on future OWB

I'm definitely interested in the libcurl fix. I imagine it was fairly simple.

I might be able to use it in ffmpeg too. It doesn't use libcurl but does interpret file://

Yep, it works for long time already (you need to enabled it in the settings/content/webinspector), then, after you will press "save", in context menu on owb window by RMB, you will have webinspector menu "inspect object", it will bring new owb window with all the stuff. Screenshot here

@MickJT

There is fixed file.c of 7.21.6 version (latest one for now). (Deniil for president).

In general changes are:

Quote:

#if defined(__amigaos4__)
#define AMIGA_FILESYSTEM
#endif

+
Quote:

#if defined(DOS_FILESYSTEM) || defined(AMIGA_FILESYSTEM)
int i;
char *actual_path;
#endif

and the actual part (which just skip first slash):

Quote:

#elif defined(AMIGA_FILESYSTEM)
actual_path = real_path;
if(actual_path[0] == '/')
{
actual_path++;
}
fd = open_readonly(actual_path, O_RDONLY);
file->path = actual_path;

#else

I had trouble uploading photos to facebook with RA-OWB but it worked with MUI-OWB (tested before the curl fix).

@kas1e

About the youtube upload, you can spoof as firefox 2 to make it work.

And by the way, you can spoof per-tab by using settings menu -> spoof as, instead of setting it in owb settings (just like in ibrowse).

Exactly that, occasionally useful for some websites, e.g. photo albums/slideshows, also for presentations, although don't use Amiga for that presently. If it's easy to implement in MUI-OWB as Fab has suggested I think it would be a nice extra feature to have, might be useful to some people.

@kas1e

Looks like the same message I get on Reaction OWB when uploading to YouTube - albeit in Russian . Going to try again after deleting cookies to see if that makes any difference.

Timberwolf alpha GUI seems too buggy at present to upload.

@kas1e

I haven't applied that libcurl fix yet, but looking at it, it seems it will break unix-style paths. I don't want to break anything

We'd want file:///Work/test.txt, file://Work:test.txt and file:///Work:test.txt to all work.

I think the real problem is the applications, not libcurl. There shouldn't be three slashes when using Amiga paths. file:// is the URI, and Work: or /Work/ is the partition.

curl file://ram:test.txt -o ram:test.txt.copy already works.

So does file:///ram/test.txt

Is this really a problem with libcurl at all?

I'll see if I can make it work in all cases, unix paths and amiga paths (Note: It already does work that way. Without changes, but I meant for cases of 3 forward-slashes, which imho is an application issue, even if it is what we're used to seeing).

file://localhost/ram/test.txt works too, but not file://localhost/ram:test.txt

Hmm.

Perhaps I should be leaving judgment until i've actually compiled this and see exactly what it does.

OK, i've done my own fix based on the code above. It works with all the combinations i've listed, so it's compatible in every circumstance. Just applying the patch as you've pasted it, it doesn't work with some combinations.

But seeing as there's a new OpenSSL out (1.0.0d), I will compile that first before releasing libcurl/curl 7.21.6

@MickJT

It should be just:

file:///work:test.txt
and
file://localhost/work:test.txt

All the other combo not necessary by meaning of amiga patches and protocol itself.

Should't be any file://ram:test.txt , only file://localhost/ram:test.txt , or file:///ram:test.txt

I.e. 2 slash + localhost + shash, or 3 slashes without localhost. Just check how URI should works : there is link on protocol description

Personally i think we not need to worry about unix patches at all, everything should be just in matter of protocol, just appling to amiga patches.

Just be sure that should be file:///work:aaa , or file://localhost/work:aa - that is necessary ones, if other ones will works - why not, but those 2 are must.
