So Tomas (and others) who insulted me on the thread I started about OWB that led to this one, owe me an apology for calling me a troll.

Key lesson here is that in life (and Amigas) one should never burn bridges. Also applies for Amigans relationship with Joerg.

Yep, cool. I already have contact with Deniil , in theory today he will rewrite some macroses already. Also for now we at the moment where work with MUI already starts (will get today includes of mui4 from morphos, and start to add exensions and all the stuff which missed in mui3).
As Fab say there is still quite some work should be done, and all will be not very fast, but, after that only linking + can try to run first exe. Linking will not very easy as well, because will need to port some libs, but i think most of them already ported to aos4 (like for example libICU). Also for sure many unresolved symbols will be because of all that IFACE stuff, but its should be also not hard to fix.

This library surely exists and maybe all others you need, check the Joerg's source in Sand-Labs's SVN _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

Dunno about that, but maybe SDK already have it (its library for pixel manimulation for Cairo).

I not found it for now too. Will be cool if someone can provide a link, just to avoid reporting.

Already port it yesterday, was easy one

Imho, there is no reassons than he will upload 3d party libs to the sand-labs (ther is only sources should be imho). But If its already ported by him, and its somethere in the net already (or even in sand-labs sources), then will be cool if you can provide a direct link on includes and lib.a (well, includes are not so need it, i already use them , but libuci.a are need it). Anyway, if joerg have it for himself, and not upload it anythere (strange why that is not on os4depot) , it will be no so hard imho to port it from scratch, or report fab's version. But Fab say that this library pretty annoing to port.
All other stuff already setuped.Last edited by kas1e on 16-Dec-2010 at 11:59 AM. Last edited by kas1e on 16-Dec-2010 at 11:58 AM. Last edited by kas1e on 16-Dec-2010 at 11:53 AM.

Cmake depends on ccmake (this is a command line tool).
IF you have Cygwin, you can just download the cygwin version of Cmake and ccmake. There is some configuration option in cmake so maybe you don’t need FontConfig.

There some options if you run cmake
In addition you need Bison

Any news then, did Joerg send you somethings ?
If not, please ask him to upload it on Sand-Labs SVN _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

Not yet. He said before the end of week which is tomorrow. And he has diffs only on a backup somewhere. Full source is on SVN of SandLabs anyway. _________________ Rock lobster bit me. I know, this is the reason why i suggest to merge also the recent diffs into the main SVN
1 place --> 1 complete source is always better than
main source here and separately diffs into an hard disk ...

| @samo79: you really want to know it the hard way, dont you? ive just had another exciting encounter with infamous sfs filesystem (we all know whose doing is this) on a machine for some time out of daily service where ive forgot to replace it with something more usable. i think you will be really better off waiting for what kas1e and fab forge and forget about these diffs and stuff.
sorry for bitterness but i really trust them more.

Well your problem is another story, we are talking about a quite stable program and there is nothing wrong asking for a source like this, we can secure it and maybe others can look at it, develop it, studing it or eventually create a new browser project around it etc ...
So don't worry, there are only positive things around _________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

The sqlite3 on OS4Depot is clib2 only. I have a newlib version if people need it.
I'm building new openssl/curl versions too. libexpat comes with the SDK as far as I know; No need to download that from OS4Depot.

| @all Some progress info about fab's mui-owb:
Right now we in the hard part called Webkit (which mean all that mui4 stuff), there is 78 cpp files, which mean 78 objects should be compiles. They all use some mui4 features, have errors about casts , some includes, hooks , and for today we have 43 objects compiles from those 78. So, there is 35 object should be compiled (i.e. routine work, to add right includes , define missing mui4 stuff in the our mui4_aos4.h file as dummy, add casts , rewrite hooks , etc). After that , final linking to the binary (what mean that will need to add that IFACE stuff where is need it, port libs which we not have like fontconfig and libicu), and then , binary can be running.
But on this stage, it or will not works at all , or if it will even starts, it will show (maybe) empty window, without scrollbars, etc, etc. And there is will start real work : add to our mui4_aos4.h file, missing mui4 stuff (i.e. not empty as it for now, but write right fucntions, to make all of this works).
Also there is need to rewrite thread support + something wrong with WritePixelArrayAlpha for now, but we comment all of this, to make at last binary (to solve all the linkage problems, and easy errors).

Wow you are really making progress its exciting, I really hope some more people with the right skills can work along side you but I do know FAB will help you where and when he can.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated by me at least. _________________

And some more progress related to fab's mui-owb:
Quote:
▒@a-fc737efcdf8a4 /usr/local/amiga/owb-1.9-src/cross-build # make owb [ 1%] Built target wtfurl [ 2%] Built target wtf [ 9%] Built target jsc [ 92%] Built target webcore [ 99%] Built target webkit-owb Linking CXX executable ../../bin/owb
|
What mean that now linking phase, after which can try to run to see how buggy it will works with all that commented threads/writepixelarrayalpha/mui4 deps.

Can't found on os4depot packet which have that ones:
Quote:
-lavdevice -lavformat -lavcodec -lavutil -lswscale
|
If i remember right, they are part of mplayer or mencoder or kind. Can you (or anyone else) point me on these ready-to-use newlib based libs ?
Edit: Anyway, as fab say they uses for mediaplayer, and not need it for current sources, so false alarm with it.
Also pixman-1 , fontconfig and libicu (with licui18n, licuuc, licudata .a libs ) are need it for now.
Edit: these ones compiling right now.
ps. And can you please upload Sqlite3 newlib version on os4depot as well ? (As well as openssl/curl , just to be up2date).

If i've understand correctly curl version that is it actual linked over OWB 3.30 is responsable of the various lookup of the browser
http://bugs.os4depot.net/?function=viewissue&issueid=469
Another example, if you put offline your machine and then trying to type an address, OWB will stuck for various minutes and will block the UI as well, the same happen with internet active but with slow servers and so on, very annoying.
Does this new version in development solve this ?
